I've been to Jerry World the past 3 years and while I've always have a good time with the Hogs up there, that stadium sucks for a college football game.

It's much better this way.

Don't believe we currently have any games scheduled against Notre Dame.

Jerryworld just plain sucks. Its a pain in the arse to get to b/c there is no public transportation that goes to Arlington. The parking is insanely overpriced. The tickets are more expensive than most bowls. The Jerrytron is distracting and takes away from the game as I end up watching it half the time instead of the field. The area around the stadium sucks for restaurants and bars.

if the game was at the Cotton Bowl I would love for it to stay in DFW but since it isn't, I want it to be a home and home.

oh and to tkeefer, sorry but your pictures are a joke.

there were tons of empty Arky seats on the third deck. Your attempt to use an angle that hides that is weak sauce.

What's up with that? Wasn't Byrne responsible for the upgrade in a lot of Aggie sports?

1. Byrne upgrated the non-revenue sports by overpaying for those coaches.

2. Byrne had no fricking clue how to negotiate a football contract (2 straight coaches with long term contracts and no buyout clause)

3. Byrne gave an extension to Franchione after a 7-5 season in which A&M lost to Baylor for the first time in 20 years and had the worst bowl loss in their history

4. Byrne gives himself a raise every time a team wins a title...and laid off several employees to pay for that raise.

5. Byrne is a pompous a-hole who thinks the donors and ticketholders are nothing more than cash fodder.

6. Byrne basically killed the Kyle Field atmosphere with his ads and scripted crap. The yell leaders have little control of the crowd anymore thanks to him.

A&M knew what it was getting into when it entered into the 10 year agreement to play in Dallas. All of the stated reasons for walking away from the game are things that they should have known already; the real reason is that they are tired of losing and their home field gives them a better shot at getting a win.

I just wonder how A&M failed to fill up their seats all three years despite the game being in the state of Texas...possibly because they have an apathetic fanbase??

I've been to Jerryworld for this game, also. I personally don't like the feel of the stadium for college football. It's pretty sterile and impersonal. Kyle Field is a much more fun place to attend a game. I'm sure Arkansas is better also. So, I would prefer to have college football played on college campuses in general. I bet most students would agree with this also.

In an 80,000 person stadium, with 30,000 of those seats going to students, I would believe our number of season ticket holders is lower than most.

A&M filled it up the first year, and most of the second. Arkansas filled it up the first year, and hasn't the past two years either, so I wouldn't throw stones.

Oh, and we averaged 87,123 at Kyle Field this year, good for 105% capacity. Apathetic my arse. People just hate Jerryworld, paying for an overpriced atmosphere and also paying quite a bit in season tickets (we lead the nation in Football prices). I paid $2900 this year for 2 seats and mine are nowhere near the prime seating locations.

A&M subsidizes 30,000 seats for students so they have to rake their alums with steep prices. I agree its worth the price to pay to have one side of your stadium as students. It makes it much louder.

The neutral site for the game was agreed to when it was a non-conference game. Now that it's an SEC conference game, it's just losing out on a conference home game for the season ticket holders and students. Winning and losing the game is secondary to this.

I think some people would like to experience 6 home games in one season, and also experience one neutral site game. The fan bases split is a really cool experience.

A 16% decrease in Kyle Field every other year doesn't seem like a huge loss. I don't get this argument. I never have.

When describing Arkansas attendance in Dallas I love how the fig's have to point to the 3rd deck to find empty seats.

I went all 3 years. The Arkansas side could be described as standing room only compared to A&M. Shameful when you consider the game is in the fricking state of Texas.

The fig's are bitches plan and simple. They are losers. Always have been, always will be.

This is relevant since Jerryworld moves closer to Fayetteville every year...

A&M claims to have so many fans in DFW, and they won't even bother to buy one ticket per year? Sounds apathetic to me. aTm supposedly pumps out so many alumni that live in Texas, but where are they at the games??

With that said, its hard to call a fanbase apathetic that averaged 105% capacity in a 6-6 season. We're also expanding to the mid 90s because there is a 3700 person waiting list for season tickets.

Like I said, people just hate Jerryworld and don't want to go back. I hear that a lot from our fans.
