UGA has had some outstanding LBs come through the past 17 years between Jarvis Jones, Alec Ogletree, Tony Taylor, and Odell Thurman. But Roquan is better than all of them.

CBS considers him the #2 prospect in the NFL draft and I believe it. Nice and smart, too. Going to make an NFL franchise very, very happy

Jarvis was a one trick pony and a liability vs the run.

LMAO

In 3 years at UGA, Smith had 215 tackles, 15 TFL and 4.5 sacks

In 2 years at UGA Jarvis Jones 155 tackles, 44 TFL and 28 sacks.

Jarvis jones was undisciplined. It is why he hasnt translated to the stud in the NFL.

Roquan uses instinct, intellect, and his athletic ability.

The only edge that I can give to Jarvis is that he hustled to the whistle every play (regardless of where the ball was and where he was on the field). But as a player, Roquan is on another level.

They play different positions. And Roquan wasn’t a starter his first year.

I watched both play. Roquan Smith is a much better player than Jarvis Jones. It's not even a fair comparison.

But I'm laughing my arse off on the inside. You can feel the humor in bringing up White in a Roquan thread.

To be fair, every time we mentioned Roquan this year LSU fans were quick to tell everyone White was better. Roquan put on a clinic vs AU last night and the voters rewarded him with the award today. We knew it was coming but it took a while for LSU fans to come around. Thanks for the support.

In Roquan we trust

Actually, it's 228 tackles, 18 TFLs, and 5.5 sacks after winning MVP of the SEC Championship game.

That being said, Jarvis Jones should have won the Butkus over Manti Te'o in 2012.

Jarvis Jones is not nearly as great an all around player as Roquan is.

In 2012 we ran directly at Jones the entire 2nd half. Nobody would ever do that to Roquan. Jones was an elite pass rusher. Smith an an elite everything. He's Rueben Foster.
