Very poorly researched. Nothing about the split tix through 1987 and the interview with Navid Nausel that it "wasn't split".
You can go to a truck stop or Wal-Mart in Meridian or Laurel and find some white trash who hate/love State and Ole Miss and do the same thing ESPN did last night.

I liked when Bo said, "as far as the best athlete to ever come out of the University of Auburn?"

Yea, he said it. I hope he was joking about that as well as joking about Barkley, but I know he wasn't.

One other thing that was on the film. All those crazies that call into the Finebaum show in order to scream only to call each other names. Name calling is childish and cheap and it only appeals to the lowest common denominator.

Him and Barkley have joked about it for years. They even brought Cam in on it and Bo joked with Cam about it last year. BTW, Bo gives the nod to Barkely because he is more accomplished as an athlete, not because he thinks Barkley had more athletic ability.

Let's be serious here. Yahoo recently did a story and cut through all the innuendo, heresay, and rumors. They wanted to see which school has had the most violations, and lo and behold it was ther University of Alabama and it wasn't even close. Auburn wasn't even on the list. Just a reminder-they looked at actual FACTS of which schools had numerous NCAA violations.

Here is the gist of it:
On the NCAA Web site under "Legislation and Major Infractions Cases," I found that since Jan. 1, 1991, there have been 47 schools guilty of what the NCAA called major violations.
Eight programs were listed more than once, with Alabama leading the way with three.
Alabama's issues:
In 2009: "Impermissible benefits obtained by student-athletes through misuse of the institution's textbook distribution program." That resulted in three years' probation.
In 2002: "Athletics representatives engaged in violations of recruiting and extra-benefit legislation with prospective student-athletes and provided impermissible recruiting inducements through high school coaches. Numerous secondary violations." That resulted in a two-year postseason ban and five years' probation.
In 1995: "Extra benefits: $24,000 in impermissible banks loans made to a student-athlete; institution did not obtain appropriate records. Lack of institutional control in the investigation into and report of information regarding the amateur status of student-athletes." That resulted in a one-year postseason ban and two years' probation.
The programs listed twice were Colorado, Florida International, Florida State, Mississippi State, Texas Tech, USC and Washington

Was this between AU and UA, if not, it is not Bama. Florida would be up there above bama from 100 and some major infractions that occured in their 80's major violation

I know, I know, some gump will change the time frame to go back farther than the last 20 years. I don't really see how that is applicable though, since many of the current AD's were not in their current positions.

Au ends up winning that game, but more importantly, getting the game out of the stranglehold that was Birmingham catapulted it into an all new level.

Yeah, the Charlie Pell violations were epic and a hell of an achievement. Sorta like AU and the Fulmer Cup this year.

It wasn't that he was joking about Charles being the best athlete. I found it humorous that he referred to the school as "the University of Auburn". It seemed accidental when he did it - not like he was saying the name wrong as a joke.
