i think its a testament to Saban that he kept him out of trouble and playing at such a high level.

he was in a structured and tight knit atmosphere under saban.

some guys lose it once they get the freedom and money the nfl provides. just can't handle it. i'm sure coming from saban's system to the life of an nfl player was a bit of shock to him.

Yes, there are a lot of Bammers in the league. But apart from Julio, are there any household names? Trent's on his way. What about defenders, though? Kareem Jackson? Marcel Dareus?

Who am I forgetting?

Andre Smith
Mark Barron is on the way also

I thought he was Tide_HSV from Tidefans. The guy responsible for bringing me here after I realized how you weren't allowed to have opinions over there

Andre Smith is legit. He can be in the category with Julio.

Richardson will be there soon, too. Upshaw and Hightower look promising.

I was wondering what was going on. I'm neither of those guys. I'm an old timer that left for a while and is now coming back. I couldn't remember my old screen name or email, so I picked a new one.

Seems Ro is a little more troubled than we all thought. Seems he is self destructing. Maybe he takes a yr off to get his life in order and comes back. It will only get worse I suspect with all this new freetime he has

I remember seeing him on the original BOL and posting several times about how he "liked to lick black girls like ice cream cones"

I think I lost the screen cap, but I had posted it here before.

Huge waste of talent. He's well on his way to being on the biggest bust lists that come out every year around draft time. Seemed like a role model/ team leader type in college too.

Not household names.

both were rookies. Hightower had 60 tackles and 4 sacks as a rookie for the Patriots, Upshaw had 60 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a FF (in the superbowl). Both are going to be household names/probowlers in their careers (barring injury).

his failure is not due to a lack of talent. he went to the worst possible franchise for someone with his lack of decision making skills (if i were a player drafter to the Raiders i would refuse to sign my contract). it looked like he was getting into a good situation at Baltimore, but he was too dumb to stay out of trouble until camp. Mental problems
