Even so, snapping and pitching backwards from the 1 won't save it forever.

Texas will do good next year of course. But Sark will still have bone-headed shite happen. Mark it down and wait for it.

Earl Campbell: "You Have to Have a Black Quarterback" to Win at Texas

Imagine if Colt McCoy said "You have to have a white quarterback to win at Texas"...

In 3 years, he had 2 tourneys, one elite 8, recruited the SEC freshman of the year. Fired bc he wasn’t good enough. Wow.

Bobby Burton is a pretty connected guy in Texas athletics. He says Texas is somewhere in the range of 10-15 when it comes to our NIL spend on Men's basketball. No one can argue that Texas is getting the results we should be getting.

Holy shite, I just read the report they fired him hours after the game. He got fired in Ohio before he got on the plane.

I haven’t followed closely because I knew a new chapter in TX basketball was about to start. Doubt he was surprised. No love lost. It’s a business, not a family. He knows that. See Chris Beard.

I ask because when a coach is at their peak but can't win the big game do you move on or keep giving them chances?

What is the trajectory of the program? Athletes graduating. No embarrassing stories about athletes doing bad things. Winning on the field, recruiting well. I give that coach a lot of time because you don’t win the championship every year. We will never see a Saban again.

UTrans fans were ready to fire Sark after he went 5-7 and 8-5 in his first 2 years before pay-for-play saved his arse

Not true. I guess no different than Ags that were ready to fire Elko after the implosion that happened this year and getting shat on by a rival, at home.

I'm having a hard time deciphering your retarded posts today but if you're saying I made that up, here you go. LINK

quote:

“Our goal at the University of Texas when we have our head coaches retreat is to have every single sport be in the top five in the country,” Del Conte said. “If we do that, if we live up to that standard– sometimes we do not. But if we live up to that standard, we have a chance to win a national championship in every sport. At other programs, they can talk about it. At the University of Texas, we deliver on it.”

Texas doesn't fire due to results. We fire due to expectation.

Texas Longhorns men basketball and football will be forever cursed until they do right by Black coaches. Look at the history.

MSU - Croom
LSU - T. Johnson, Jones (Kim the exception, but she'll never win again)
A&M - Sumlin
Texas - Shaka, Rodney, Charlie
Auburn - C. Williams
Arkansas - Anderson

I’m saying the premise that you are somehow an elite BB program, somehow having a reasonable expectation to be in a final four game on a regular basis, is completely fabricated by CDC. Thanks for confirming that. Brilliant.

No one at Texas expects regular Final Fours. I already said the bar for basketball is more like top 15. Rodney is not in the ballpark.
