Going to be a sad year here regardless of records. His voice was iconic like Fyffe and his passion unparalleled.

I remember ESPN aired his call that night of the kick 6. Probably one of if not the best calls in all of college sports. Prayers for his family and the Auburn family I know he will be missed

Stan White was a semi-regular at the place I was working in 2013. I'll always remember he came in a couple weeks after the Iron Bowl and I asked him how it felt to hear his voice everywhere in the background of the Kick Six call, instead of talking about himself Stan gave all the praise to Rod for that call. Really spoke volumes about how much Stan respected Rod as a colleague and cared for him as a friend. There were other times Stan told me about what a great guy Rod was.

I just heard about this. Very tragic. My heart goes out to their family and to the Auburn family. So very sorry.
