I wasn't acquainted with the man, but from all of those that knew him he seemed like a very nice man.

It's sad to hear any news like this at any time, let alone during the holidays. I can't begin to imagine how tough this must be on his family.

Wow... this is horrible news. I began talking to Steven my senior year at state out of a dare in a thread on here. He didnt think anyone would call him if he posted his # and I did lol. He became a good friend who I frequently talked to. We had many conversations over the phone about random bs, but mostly about upcoming games. He often offered me a place to stay in Alabama if I just wanted to come hang out with him. He was a genuine good hearted person.

My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his loved ones...

I remember him as someone who made very good, insightful posts about sports without the slightest hint of flaming any school or any team's fans. That is rare on this board.

I'm sad for his family. I hope they find peace and comfort in knowing that his suffering is over.

I'm back after twice suffering a 3-4 week stay in the hosptital.

She has been telling me to take it easy.

For all of you who have sent e-mails, letters, prayers, cards, words of encouragements, texts, while my stay in the hospital. For weeks, I have been out of the LOOP as you call it, but my friends have made fun of me because they asked me what I missed the most.............I told them i missed my wife in my bed, good food, and giving LSU fans HECK on tigerdroppings.

To all you, THANKS. Still not out of the woods yet, but happy to be feeling better and able to get back online.

One of my memories of Steven was the first time I went to his tailgate. He had an Alabama helmet on one of the tables and got everyone that came to his tailgate to sign it. He said that when Alabama won another national championship that he was going to take the helmet and place it on his fathers grave. He said his father was a very big Alabama fan and that he loved watching the Tide and loved tailgating and meeting new people. I hope that he was able to follow through with that and I'm happy to know that my name is on that helmet and that I will forever be a part of Steven and his family. RIP buddy. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!
