Auburn's offense would torch Tejas' defense.
Wowwwww. Does that make your statement true because you said it over the internet? Does that actually translate to the field?
You must be one of the smart ones. Howabout you put your keyboard away if that is all you have to offer when someone poses a valid question about your OC.

Gus consistently pumps out highly ranked offenses....call him gimmicky and high school and whatever else you like, but his offense produces big numbers, and I think at the end of the day, that's basically what an OC is supposed to do

At one time yes... but things change

They could do much better than Leach or Malzahn.

Most sensible UGA fans wouldn't want Leach or Gus.
I would be pissed if we picked up either. Really pissed...

Someday Gus will be a head coach. Whatever school decides to pick him made a wise choice. Watched him coach since his high school days. He wins everywhere he goes. One of the best minds in football. He is probably a top 5 recruiter as well. He's a big reason Lee Ziemba didn't go to Arkansas once he bolted for Tulsa..

Personally, I don't think Gus would make a good head coach and I don't think he can run a entire program.
And secondly, No way Georgia would go from Richt to the head pirate. He carries himself more like Lane Kiffin. He is a smart mouth idiot. No way they turn the Georgia program over to that a-hole.

God what a stupid thread.
1)Richt is not getting fired after this season
2)Even if he was, Mike Leach would be nowhere NEAR the top of our list.
Where exactly did you hear that rumor? Some dumbass behind you in line at a Ryan's or something?

Other than the "2009 moral victory" trophy what other hardware has his teams produced?

you are basing this off of...not wanting him to leave, right?

Not true. I have said numerous times, I am not on the gus bus. He makes too many bad decisions in his play calling.
He called the best game ever as a Auburn OC last Saturday. But his calls are more of a ego at times than "team" calls. I think he is constantly putting his resume out there.
It takes more than being a offensive coordinator to be a head coach and control a entire program. Ask Rich rod and Charlie Weiss.
He may eventually be a good head coach but he is not ready to take control of a SEC team like Georgia. No way.
Has nothing to do with my thoughts about him or him leaving Auburn,

you think Mark Richt has trouble controlling his players in Athens? Imagine what would happen with boom boom Muschamp in charge?
He is a great coach though, and Chris Peterson is not going anywhere. His kid has some kind of illness and they are not open to the idea of moving him.

I have to believe Malzahn would be gone in a minute if he were offered this job.
Gus doesn't have a fitting resume to be a head coach quite yet. Plus, Ga will likely hire a defensive minded coach a la Will M. because Mack Brown isn't going anywhere no time soon. Personally, I don't think Mike Leach will fit in the SEC.
Charlie Strong could be a good fit for UGA, possibly??
