No raise in base salary but it doubles his incentives from 400k to 800k, and keeps Richt signed through 2016.
The most interedasting news is that Richt can walk away from the contract and not owe the University a dime. It also reduces the money owed to Richt should he be fired.

I read that there's no buy-out on his contract.

yeah, if he wants to leave then he doesn't owe UGA anything; it reduced the buyout in the event that he is fired.

It pleases me how this all has been handled. He's here because he has to be and if he screws up again it'll be that much easier to start anew.

I could see that. I don't think he has too many years of putting up with all of the fans, pressure, players and etc left. I just hope we don't go and get hasty and add a HCIW tag to Grantham

Doubt it, doesn't seem to be ADGMs style.
Personally, I think Richt ends up somewhere in Latin America before his contract runs out. Hopefully we loosen the purse strings and bring in a big name and proven winner at HC.
We'll probably hire some offensive coordinator from a non-AQ conference.

I want him to stick through 2013 so we can keep this recruiting class together; we're bringing in some very good talent but the class would fall apart if Richt left.

so one more year, basically 2011 redux. eh, i always have hoped Richt would either go 2002 again or 2010 so we basically can crown his arse or can it but instead we usually get 2011s which are cool and all but drive me insane.
i just know that even if we blow this awesome recruiting class we will be able to pick up next season under new leadership, hopefully super competent leadership. that is if it is necessary.
