I think Milton is going to end up being pretty good, but VOLS are placing a lot of stock in a guy who has literally played one good game which he started in his entire life.
Don't believe me? Check the stats. Clicky clicky.

If Auburn and Ole Miss pan out, the west could be absurd this year.

. UGA hasn’t had a productive WR in years,
We will just have to settle for Ladd McConkey grabbing 94 yards and a TD in 3 quarters against the Vols.

Milton needs to improve his accuracy. "Pretty good" won't hold up if he doesn't.
Who was the player that you linked? Cfbstats doesn't do well as a link for some reason.
Feel free to inform me of the NFL QBs and receivers for Heupel

It was Milton's career game log. He was good in the Orange Bowl against Clemson. Every other game he has started has been average or below average.

Not sure how much change there is in the offense that the old (and now new again) OC runs compared to his predecessor. How familiar are these returners gonna be with it?

That was a good game for Milton.
Clemson did a good job limiting the run which put more responsibility on Milton's shoulders and he was up to the task.
Having 15 practices before the bowl game and seeing that success is a good sign for the spring, summer, and fall workouts.

Smokeyone says it’s not impressive because he didn’t hit 100 in an orange uniform

I've said it throughout the off-season but if jimbo let's Bobby P do his thing on offense aTm will be a damn handful. Hopefully jumbo has already poisoned the culture

The fact that in Coen’s only season the offense managed 32.3 points a game with bookend seasons of 21.8 and 20.4 under other coordinators makes me confident as well. What makes me even more excited is shoring up the o-line, a qb who was considered a Heisman candidate before being injured, and what should be a prolific receiving corps.

Defense will improve from terrible to bad.

I think so as well. He will murder some bad D's, and be in the Heisman discussion.

Carolina- 55% overall, 63% offense, 48% defense
I get that Beamer has things rolling and finished strong, but man that's a lot of production lost on a roster that's not deep.
RB room is thin, for sure. TE will be improved. WR will likely stay stable. QB is solid. Biggest thing here is the new OC in Loggains. Satterfield was ridiculously complex, and the players struggled under his offense. If, and it's a big if, Loggains can maximize what he has, the offense will be just fine.
Defense should be sour enough to win some games in their own. Clayton White is the best DC we've had in a decade plus. Special teams are elite.
Schedule is absolutely brutal.

Georgia actually has a history of producing NFL WRs.
Highly productive ones? No. But if we're talking multiple highly productive WRs in the last few years, there's really only five schools in the conversation there.

WRs go to UGA to learn to block. Y’all have 1 1,000 WR in your history(maybe 2). And the guys that have NFL futures that have chosen UGA have not had productive seasons with UGA. The scatback that went to the chiefs (hardman I think) is the best example of a guy going to UGA and not having either off the field problems or the injury bug. AJ Green is the best WR to go through UGA in memory and had NCAA issues that should have cost him his eligibility. The latest one Pickens couldn’t stay healthy and had a 10cent head.
I get that in absolute terms UGA has put a handful of WRs in the league for a rookie contract. And some have made a career of it. But UGA is not known for WR production, has never really had a high production WR on campus, and really hasn’t recruited the position very well.

Right? All Georgia did was average 40+ points per game and 500+ yards per game last year. Is that not good anymore?
It’s certainly not good to smokeyone, but only because of the color of the helmet + a silly lack of understanding basic concepts like garbage time and clock killing.

Tennessee fans are dumb! Georgia has won the last 2 titles and you are throwing mud at Georgia!
Didn’t Georgia shut down Tennessee’s high powered offense?
Yes, I am an LSU fan and y’all beat us last year, saying that, we have 2003, 2007 and 2019.
Know your place and talk crap once you actually accomplish something this century!

We have the more sports board for the other far less popular sports.
