Arkansas has, at times, been the target of malicious scheduling by the SEC LOL. 2020 was about as blatant as it gets.....

No surprise to hear aggy complain while having the easier schedule. Texas A&M has zero road trips against ranked teams.

Bless your little heart if you truly believe Texas has a tough SEC schedule.

Well, the only ranked team that you have played beat you, badly, at your home stadium

Notice how the article states SEC coaches are livid at the tx schedule (not A&M). Probably has something to do with A&M playing in the SEC west for the last 12 seasons and not being gifted a cakewalk their very first year in the league while OU got the shaft.

but keep deflecting

I love it.

We told you it’d be this way. Get used to it. Y’all just thought the SEC was immovable, Texas is the black hole that will reorient all things around itself.

Doesn’t matter how big or healthy something is. The fate of the SEC is sealed. Soon they will lead the charge to merge the top $ programs from the SEC and B10 into tier 1 like a premier league.

Texas could go 0-12 and they’d still demand special treatment.

THEN they’ll lead the charge to make another divide of the top 6 $ teams in that league. It’s inevitable.

This was bound to happen with 16 teams and no divisions.

We need a 9 game schedule. My hunch is the SEC is waiting to see how the playoff shakes out and if the SEC is indeed rewarded for playing in this conference.

Josh Pate indicated that there could be an “uncomfortable” amount of SEC teams in the playoffs. If that’s true then who wins the SEC will become increasingly less relevant.

But with this many teams who makes the CCG will be highly dictated on how the schedule lays out.

I thought A&M might beat UTa and I hope they do (and win out) so we play them again in the SECCG

But A&M looked awful that first half and doesn’t do anything except run when Reed is in. I don’t see them winning this weekend or against UTa which is going to make LSU look really bad

You need new material. You just say the same stuff over and over again..

We have played 3 other ranked teams.

6-2 Michigan would be ranked around 15/16 right now if they had beat us.
6-2 Vanderbilt would be ranked around 18-20 right now if they had beat us.
5-3 Oklahoma wouldn't be ranked right now, but they might be in two more weeks at 7-3 after beating Maine & Missouri.

Are any of those teams NC contenders? Nope. They are not.. but they aren't chopped liver either.

Michigan beat USC who beat LSU
Vanderbilt beat Alabama who beat Georgia
Oklahoma beat Auburn who beat Kentucky who beat Ole Miss (ok, this one is reaching a bit)

We played like shite against Georgia. We gave up 23 points in the first half on 3 turnovers, some unfortunate penalties, a wide open drop that puts points on the board, and some shitty punts by our backup punter. Georgia was able to capitalize on our turnovers.. we were not able to do the same.

Our defense played a great game. If we can figure out a way to limit the turnovers and limit the penalties in a rematch, I think we'd have a chance to win. But I also think Georgia is once again the best team in College Football.. especially if their offense ever stops stepping on their dicks.. Both teams have the same problem. shite, they were down 23 points at halftime to Alabama.. they just flipped the script.

Perhaps Texas flips the script on A&M at the end of the year.. Perhaps we go 9-3 and make some shitty bowl.. Time will tell.. but it's way too early to make any conclusions about any teams.

This is so dumb. A few years back having OU, Florida, Georgia, Arkansas and yes...even your very own aggy wouldn't be considered a soft schedule at all.

The schedules weren't created a few years ago. They are bridge schedules created before this season started. Florida and Arkansas sucked last year and were expected to suck this year

They're 1-7, literally last place in the conference.

I mean what teams on our schedule would make it a "hard" one?

Alabama, Ole Miss, Tennessee, LSU...none of those teams are on Texas' schedule. They just happen to be 4 of the 6 teams not named Texas from the SEC who are ranked.

Missouri is 25th with 44 points
Vanderbilt is 26th with 41 points

Big fricking deal.

Missouri shouldn't be ranked.. their schedule is garbage, even worse than the schedule for Texas and A&M. They won't be for long..

What happens if LSU loses to Alabama next week?

If that happens and Missouri and LSU both fall out of the polls.. neither A&M or Texas will have 1 ranked win.. unless Vanderbilt jumps back in with wins over Auburn and SC.

That horse you are riding sure has tall legs.

Reed has had significant playing time in 5 games this season...and has a higher qb RTG and QBR than Nussmeier

Texas has one away game against the top half of the conference and that is @ A&M, who honestly has an even better situation with All their toughest games at Kyle, and UGA at home.
Vandy, State, Arky, and a Gator team that was talking of firing their coach last year is a pretty easy slate. Not the team’s fault as they can only play who is on the schedule, but don’t try to convince anyone this scheduling is anything close to balanced when UF has 6 teams from the top half of the conference.
Are you trying to argue we should have a schedule similar to UGA, and if so, based on what? Schedule is the same but home and away flipped next year so that's a wash.
Let me ask you this: which other SEC team has 3 true rivalry games (where anything can happen even if one side is pathetic in a given year) on their schedule every season?

I have yet to see anyone post a mock schedule of the teams they think we should have played year one along with their justification of such.

Ok, so you think we should have Bama, Ole Miss, Tennessee, LSU, Georgia OU, Pig and aggy on our schedule, right?

Let's say they did give us that schedule, Florida is the only team with a schedule even close to that, and most of the perception of their schedule is based on playing Miami and FSU in ooc games...oh, and the fact they suck. Guess what, 4 seasons ago we were struggling just like Florida is this year and against weaker competition.

Just admit you're butthurt because we didn't get a humiliating meat grinder of a schedule year one as some sort of SEC hazing ritual. Even if the league office was into such things there's no guarantee the majority of the teams they put us up against would be able to live up to it.

Think about how many teams haven't lived up to their lofty expectations (Bama, Mizzery, LSU and in some ways Tenner) and some that have wildly exceeded theirs (Vandy, aggy) and see if you can accurately predict where each one will be next season much less 4-5 years from now.

Welcome to the SEC retard.
The bottom half of the league would compete for the Big12 Title.

My horse has tall legs, but at least it has legs. You were the one having to rely on all of the “if” statements.

My horse may have tall legs, but it doesn’t need “if”statements to make it a horse
