Apparently you have not been paying attention, OU has made it clear we want to do it. Little brother has made it clear that they are not interested in doing so. Remember, Florida State may not have been so amiable to playing you if they were on the losing end of a 90-19-7 series. OU has continually reached out and were told "We can't fit you in". That's on them. Period.

Over on their fan board the vast majority of them are happy to see this game go away (of course they are). The other one's pretending they'd like to continue this game will only do so if the game is in Stillwater every year. Hahahahah...

Only saw ONE post from one of their fans criticizing their AD for playing the embarrassing "we're busy washing our hair" game. Of course he was immediately attacked by the other posters.

First, the truth is in the middle. No, your program isn’t trying to schedule them and it’s not you guys trying to save it. The SEC told you guys no. It wasn’t in your control. tu isn’t playing Texas Tech either, and that’s the story Tech gave. They tried calling tu out on Twitter for being cowards, tu said if was an SEC decision. The same is true for Bedlam. You guys weren’t going to get special treatment and get one less conference game to accommodate them. SC doesn’t get one less game either bc they play Clemson. Use your OOC slots for that and make it permanent like SC/Clemson

Oklahoma dominates Bedlam...I don't see why they would have any problem continuing the series. I'm inclined to think it is Ok State that is really making this move.

Again, both sides are being childish. JUST LIKE UT A&M.

Clemson dominates South Carolina. By your logic they need to just stop playing that game as well.

Ok, please share exactly how OU is being childish. All OU did was go to the SEC, then asked Okie Lite to schedule us home and home for OOC. They refused, the article clearly says THEY told OU they did not have room (though they only have 2 OOC games scheduled for 2025 & 2029), and OU really had no choice. The real story is Okie Lite DOES have a choice, they could remove Alabama/Oregon/Arkansas to play OU every year OR they could remove the directional teams and play OU. The bottom line is this, they are pissed because OU left and they don't want to take the L. It is simple.

OU didn’t try to extend Bedlam

Neither school tried to extend it, the only place ou has said they want to keep playing is in the media.

Bedlam was killed by ou when they made their decision to join the SEC, now they want to frame it like it’s OSU’s fault. As Gundy said, it’s comical and it’s time to move on.

Gundy should stick to making 11-2 rings when they go 10-3 again.

You use a link to a tweet from some nobody as evidence... PLEASE. The evidence is out there for all to see. OU left, was very clear and vocal when it offered to play Okie Lite. OU has open spaces in the schedule since all of its SEC Non-conference matchups are now cancelled. Okie lite went on record saying "We don't have room and are not interested in continuing the matchup", OU then said that if Okie Lite is not interested, there is nothing OU can do. This is hilarious gaslighting by Okie Lite fans who seem to not be able to comprehend that leaving a conference does NOT mean you can't continue a regular series. It should not be too hard to find another cupcake for the schedule to replace them. Thanks for playing though.

Yes, I’m sure all of the people on both schools fans boards and Twitter know more about what is happening behind the scenes than one of the state’s sports reporters.

Kansas did the same thing, they came around a bit finally though and have some future games on the books.

People ger butthurt you're going to something better so they try to inflict any petty injury they can as a result.

Can you explain why this killed it? Other schools still play each other every year despite the fact they are in separate conferences? It's a terrible decision by osu. The only game you sell out is the OU game. You have to buy season tickets to even get tickets for the OU game when it is in stillwater.

Doesn't surprise me though.

Yet his twitter post did not quote any sources or note anything other than making an editorial statement. That is opinion, not fact.

The SEC and Big Ten should come to an agreement.

OU and Nebraska play every Thanksgiving weekend.
Missouri and Illinois play every Thanksgiving weekend.
Oklahoma State is forgotten every Thanksgiving, like they apparently want to be.

Us leaving gives them the cover they need to back out of Bedlam indefinitely while casting blame on our leaving for canceling the series. It's a weasel move.
