There's a really good thread on the board right now about this with a full timeline that explains exactly why we left.
TLDR: Texas was a bunch of greedy bitches. Colorado and Nebraska got out while they could. A&M said frick this place, we are moving on to greener pastures. Mizzou got really lucky.
