I wish more stuff like this would happen. Being classy is overrated. Students shouldn't be classy IMO. They're supposed to do the fanbases dirty work to keep the Harvey Updykes from taking it too far.

I was a Student at AU when this happened. Was in the student section watching it all take place. (Bama Fan but went to AU FWIW). I laughed by butt off when this happened. I can't get the video to load at work but I just remember fans in the stands getting hosed, not anybody being on the field. Maybe my memory is fading with the old age.....

That was mid-90's right before the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. They were going to remove the hedges for some reason relating to Samford being used as training for some athletes. The AU game was the final game of the year.
Lots of fans took a piece of the hedge that night. I was one of the Aubies at the game and ripped up a huge piece and took it home.
