I mean now it seems pretty obvious with that name, but most of her posts sound like an insecure guy. I just assumed.

Same here... I never thought it was that serious until I saw it on the news after the game.

The AU game was the final game of the year. She pathetically said the next year..1987 was the next year. I know she was not there and talking out of her arse.

Yep. The UGA PA annoucer actually said fans could go down to the field and get a piece of the hedge that game if they wanted. AU won the game and a lot of Aubies participated in the hedge "removal" that night.

From the Augusta Chronical...

So, in 1995, when UGA loyalists attending the Auburn game were invited down to the field to get their own piece of the hedges before they were removed to accommodate soccer games during the 1996 Summer Olympics

I was at this game. It was my last home game as a student (AU beat Bama at Legion Field for the next game). It sucked losing that night, but the theatrics after the game were both funny and surreal. The next day the newspapers were trashing Auburn, but I didn't care.

ETA: I was at the game.

I was too. Part of the reason the people in the stands got a dose was as soon as UGA fans on the field started getting taken down and arrested, they decided to start throwing shite at security.

Bad idea.

Ironically, the '86 game was UGa's lone win in the middle of a 7-out-of-8 stretch for AU:

And they wouldn't have won that one if the awful SEC refs hadn't quick whistled a Brent Fullwood TD run.

Ha, I was at that game with an Auburn friend and his parents. Saw a few fights outside the stadium as we were leaving. Auburn fans were salty that night.
