Fun fact: the Georgia teams featuring the players in this graphic were 9-3 vs. Auburn and never lost to Auburn in Athens.

They are Auburn, what do you expect.

The cow college wants nice things too.

Did any of the players play at auburn? Any? That’s really bad. I know the point is to showcase the coaches, but that’s really bad

Eta
It’s also like they tried to find a bad pic of Derek mason.

Some of those guys were freshmen during Coach Bryant's last year at Bama.

That would be like LSU posting a graphic with a picture of Brett Favre coached by Curley Hallman at Southern Miss

I guess with Bill O’Brien as OC we can feature Tom Brady

No, Tom was taught by the OC that was at AU several years back. I forget his name.

I never understood this, but seemingly every team that hires a new coach does this as part of its PR. It's dumb, and just opening yourself to get absolutely lit up on twitter

Really it is a reflection on how stupid these programs view the potential recruiting pool and the public.

Hey, they might be correct.

I’m sure it plays on some level with recruits but, sheesh, send it out in the mail or via text or something. Don’t put it on public facing social media like you’re proud of the spin job.

Also, thanks for reminding recruits about Stafford, Green, and Gurley for us!

I get these when you are selling players you developed from another conference or region - for instance, the Boise kids. I get that.

It doesn't make much sense to me to sell the kids who played for programs in your backyard that you directly recruit against.

Yeah, but honestly some of those guys are so far removed from the SEC that many of these 16-17 year olds won't immediately remember where they played.

It's cringey for sure though.
