I have never in my life seen such discussion over such an non-high profile player... he's a guard.... nothing earth shattering. Is he talented?... sure, but he won't make or break anyone's roster over the next four years.

Even though Region provided Au with perfect message board fodder, i knew this day was coming sooner or later.
Dude grew a Bama fan in a Bama family in a Bama town and only committed to AU in the first place b/c Saban pissed him off.

Whatever, I guess Saban (maybe) knows better than me but I don't really want him. I saw a highlight on youtube so I know what I'm talking about.

Unless something drastically changes we are his lead school and will remain so for a while. Over the course of the summer that could change but at present it is ours to lose.

I realize that but as said at present we are in the lead it is some others coming in saying our offense won't get him to the NFL, which is bull but that's the name of the game in recruiting for some schools and coaches.

Yes Saban's such a poor recruiter. I didn't follow it as much but supposedly he wanted Region to go ahead and commit early and as a result Region threw a temper tantrum? Oh well, it happens, we have a limited amount of scholarships and Region's not as big a fish as he thinks he is.

It's interresting to me that he broke this news to BOL's Shane Younglood rather than the Auburn Rivals person.
I think he's a silent commit for Bama. Saban won't let him announce it yet. I think that's why he got mad at Saban in the first place. He must have gotten over being mad about that, though.

Saban wanted him to commit early and not take any more visits. AU said they didn't care. There's a little phone call that got Saban in trouble and cost him Regions. He could go patch things up but I'm not sure he ever will or if the ground can be made up. Either way I wish the guy well with his recruiting I can't blame him for taking official visits, to get all expense paid trips to various parts of the US tour major campuses it'd be nice.
