It's pretty damning that there isn't a single thread on the MSB arguing over the final foul.

Which game are you talking about? I thought you were talking about tonight’s game till I read your last sentence. Clearly that much contact would effect the shot.

What?

There was major contact well before the ball left the shooter's hands.

I think it was before as well. I was just throwing AU fans a bone and pointing out that even if the contact was after the shot, it's still a foul, and for good reason. I'm just laughing at the "it was after the shot" logic as if it would even matter.

A still shot only shows an AU player standing there with his hands up. He’s allowed to do that.

So now combine the still shot with a video and you will know the AU player was clearly moving forward into the players and not just standing there.

He is referring to Brown being fouled on the last shot I believe. It can be argued the player took a step from A to B while Brown was in the air and made contact in his landing area. Not sure I would make it though.

Which, if called correctly, would have made the rest of the game mute.

we have so many bitching about the missed call. Again, our poor shooting cost us the game. We had every opportunity to put the game away and couldn't do it. UVa could. You just have to tip your cap to them and realize our guys had a great season but just came up a little short. I could not be more proud of our bunch.
Damn fine post!...much respect.

They did the same thing in the opening round against NMSU only this time it cost them the game like it should have in the opening round.

If there is a school that deserves a questionable call to go against them in a big game it's Auburn.

shite tonight was hilarious.

Nah, we turned the ball over 8 times in 90 seconds in the opening game.

Tonight we made plays and UVA did as well...the refs inserted themselves into the game and the rest is history. UVA did a great job defending us all night, but our guys played gutsy and stayed close and took the lead late. It sucked to lose and it was worse to lose in a manner that felt like it shouldn't have happened, but basketball refs have been over calling games for generations...it just sucked that in 2 seconds of game time they swallowed a whistle and called a call that is often over looked situationally and both went against Auburn.

There were two officials in position to make the double dribble call which would have rendered the rest of it moot, and they blew it. It should have been an easy call it happened in the open floor, they just swallowed their whistles.

They had been letting them play all game and it was a ticky tack call at the end , not that much contact. I saw people clearing out with their free arm all game and they wouldn't call it.

But they still made the stupid same bone headed foul at the end of the game on a 3 point attempt, which yes should have cost them the game if the guy makes all 3 free throws from NMSU. Do not care what lead to NMSU back in the game to make it close.

No, he was touched after he released the ball. You will see that "No Call" 99% of the time. And if it determines who goes to the NCG, you do not call it. Again, if you watched the game, the refs were not making those calls for 39 mins of the game,
