I’m no basketball algorithm expert, but it seems like if you take that inexplicable loss to Ok St away, LSU is a top 5 team.

If we're taking away losses from LSU like Arkansas or Oklahoma State.

Then I can take away wins like Mississippi State, Auburn, Kentucky and Georgia which match the margin of defeat(-15) you had to OSU and Arkansas.

The losses happened and the wins happened. That's basketball.

Shouldn’t the “top sec teams” be the top of the standings? Why is a 6-6 miss st team on this list?

We exclude teams that lost to Wofford by 20. We prioritize teams that beat them by 11.

South Carolina can prove they are a top SEC team this week since they play Ole Miss and Mississippi State.

Outside of an OT win at home to Mississippi State. SC has fared poorly against top teams like Kentucky and Tennessee

Wait, I just read in the other thread that UT's schedule is hard because they're in the East and have to play Kentucky twice.

I’d like to see how LSU would do against Gonzaga and Kansas when they had their best player.

You have one bad game and these people come out of the woodworks

Hold up, I was told LSU had better wins and a better schedule. What gives?

Why do you think there are divisions in the SEC for basketball?

MSU isn't a "top" team like UT, UK, and LSU are. We also beat a ranked AU team at home that is also 6-6 in league play.

Never said they didn’t. I’m theorizing about what LSU would be ranked without that loss. A futile and pointless exercise, I admit.

Not to mention that, but for a wildly improbably last minute and a half, including some objectively terrible calls, Mizzou beats them at home and they have another terrible loss.

Auburn is #21 in the NET rankings. Road record is not good and haven't beat a great team, but they keep in close. Which is what the NET looks at. SEC regular season title is out of grasp but the team could can win some big ones at the right time.

It’s cute that you think I’m melting, I could give a shite about LSU’s schedule, Tennessee controls their own destiny, win out and we win the conference

I'm not impressed with Kansas, but I will give you Gonzaga. The SEC gave you home court vs LSU, but we gave you the L. You can spit it out if you want to, but you have to take it.
