Based on what I’ve read this isn’t true.
Just read where the host committee votes on who advances….which is weird as hell. And honestly I would definitely see them pushing USM through. They’ve looked better this regional.

Now, Old Mess was not intimidated whatsoever…
As the game began, chants of We Are Ole Miss could be heard for miles and miles
As the game went along, Southern Miss began to score lots and lots of runs and their fans let Ole Miss know about it, too
To which the Old Miss fans responded
In the end, USM would go on to win the game 10-7 leaving Old Mess fans feeling a little
