Zuniga, Louisville transfer Greenard, WVU transfer Shuler, Campbell, Carter, Ancrum, Chatfield, and Slaton?
Theres a ton of experience, and talent up front. Depth taken a hit for sure with injuries, and psosibly suspensions at least early.
They aren't Auburn, but they are right behind them with Bama and LSU. I'd say top 4, making them one of the best DLs in conference...

WTF are the Vols doing on here trolling UGA?You guys haven't sniffed a SECC in 20 years.
You guys are so desperate now that you have to copy our blueprint for success.
Good luck with Chaney though...perhaps the most overpaid SEC coach other than Gus.

Florida had the #6 defense in the conference last year. Pretty average.
Florida had the #10 run defense in the conference last year. Below average.

You mean the group that lost to Georgia by 20 points last season?
Franks shat the bed in the 4th Q. I don't know how many times I have to post this but...
In order for UF to seriously challenge for the East, Franks has to take another step forward.
The WR's cant catch the ball themselves, and Franks was AWFUL in the 4th Q against UGA.
EDIT: Meant WR's cant throw the ball to themselves...

Still 50% in bowls. Texas beat them as great as they were supposed to be Last year.

UGA still loses big games just like they did under Richt.

That, among other things. The defense needs to seriously improve from being a middling SEC defense.

A potent offense helps a lot.
Franks ineptitude cost UF against Missouri, Kentucky, and Georgia.
UF's best MLB was out against Kentucky earlier in the season.
Really the Mizzou game was the only debacle the defense had all year.

Who doesn't lose big games? I must have missed that team.

Teams that win national championships.

I don’t know why you keep talking about “if Florida doesn’t do this or that”
The team with the best chance to challenge Georgia is not Florida. It’s Missouri

Schedule wise? Yes of course!
Florida plays LSU every year, Missouri plays Arkansas.
I'd argue UF has a higher ceiling than Missouri, but we'll see what happens.
I'm less worried about Mizzou with Bryant than I was with Lock, but... I could be wrong.

Dude they gave up 7.96 yards per play to Kentucky and 6.60 yards per play to Georgia. Florida's defense was a major factor in all three losses last year.

On the positive side, Florida's defense did play well against Michigan. But it is difficult to know whether that reflects improvement or not.

I'm not disputing that. But if the offense shits the bed, like it did in all 3 games and you keep the defense on the field?
What do you think is gonna happen?
