Tennessee’s campus is very crammed together with very little green space.

When is the last time you were there, if ever?

It's changed drastically since then. Lots of new improvements and ugrades. That walkway in my first pic and everything to the ledt of it, was a street.

Tennessee is well put together. I’m tearing down one of the buildings in your fourth pic, and replacing it.

The bigger question is have you been anywhere besides Tennessee?

Tennessee is a tight campus simply because of they way it is wedged in between the river, downtown/old worlds fair area and Cumberland Ave cutting through there.

It feels a lot more like an urban campus than maybe anywhere else in the conference with the exception of Texas... and maybe South Carolina...but Carolina has the horseshoe which helps.

The Hill and Ayers Hall area was a nice start as far as green space. But they couldn't really maintain green space throughout the campus. Circle park is another nice spot.... but it is tiny as well.

I know I'm biased, but I would have called Auburn's campus one of the ugliest in the SEC in the 90's. But, OMG, it has drastically improved to one of the best in the conference the last 10 years. Alabama's is beautiful along University Blvd and the Quad, but, after that, their campus is crammed with very little greenspace. People have to tailgate out of the back of their cars.
LSU and UGA are very nice and picturesque.

A&M is the UGLIEST campus I have been on at least among SEC schools. Yes, I have been there 5+ times. Tennessee is also very unimpressive although I have not been there since 2020.

You obviously aren't familiar with the north side of campus which includes Shelby Quad, Bryce Campus and Manderson Park along the Black Warrior River.

Its nice...doesnt look bad, but lacks personality...just plain reddish brick. I'd certainly put most SEC campuses I've seen far ahead of it.

Is that the area near the old Bryce Mental Hospital? Didn't UA buy up a bunch of that land from Bryce?
I think you guys are kinda landlocked now. Downtown Tuscaloosa on one side, 15th street commercial area on one, the river on the other, then Hwy 82. I don't see how/where UA could grow anymore.

Tennessee has a very nice campus - similar Architecture as FSU, but a lot more topography.

UF has some nice buildings - but that's the swampiest dankest place on earth. If you hate cool breezes and dry crisp air, but loooove to sweat, then Gainesville is the armpit for you.
