Grier out for 6 games. True Freshman are extremely unlikely to be a field general out of the gate.
VHIII is likely gone. Robinson is 50-50 staying or going...and who knows if he can even stay out of trouble if he returns. Taylor might go once he realizes his value is higher this year than it would be next season. (2017 NFL class has tons of RB talent). Morrison.
That is quite a bit of talent gone.
I think this year was a prime example of extenuating circumstances.
I'm not saying Mac is a bad coach....I just think that this year is impossible to judge with all the turmoil and everything that happened.

I saw everything I wanted to see when we had Grier
A qb was actually being developed and looking better every game
Play makers at the skill position were actually emerging
That's what gator fans needed to see muschamp couldn't do it in 4 fricking years and mac had shite rollin by Grier's third start lol I mean nobody thought we could go out and light up ole miss like that it was truly a thing of beauty for gator fans

I'm just making a prediction. Obviously, nobody knows how he is going to turn out.

Robinson was in the top 20 in receiving this year and I missed it?
He won't be missed. All he did was catch the ball and look for the sideline and that's when he wasn't suspended.
We aren't losing as much talent as you keep saying.

We have more WRs coming and a pretty good set of backs as well. We also currently have a pretty good QB lined up if he holds true to his committ.
The defense will be fine, Bullard is a big loss but we are in the running for other DTs and we ll see how that turns out.
Lots of young players played well for this team. Theyll only get better

He won the east with a makeshift o line, made up of a transfer from Fordham. 1 decent wr who was a freshman. 1 ok rb, and a good qb for half a season, and a qb who should be playing db at UCF for the other half. When he fixes the o line that Muschamp left in shambles, and gets a real qb for a whole season UF will once again own the SEC east.

I guess many didnt notice Cox jr and CeCe playing on offense in heavy packages due to lack of OL...

Decent? Callaway is a damn good wr
Hell of a return guy too

Callaway is a stud, just needs a QB who can get him the ball

He's got a good staff and plenty of in-state talent. They might not be as good on D in future but they don't really have to. Offense will improve.

And He won the EAST with those same players that got Muschamp fired since you guys wanna pull that card
The east was vastly worse this year than it ever was for Muschamp.

Agreed, hard to tell if that kind of defensive production will be regular or just an after-affect of Muschamp. I think his offenses will be good from here on out. He really made water into wine with UF's Oline.

Buyers remorse setting in now that you see the nice shiny new model parked in UGA's driveway?
Hope you enjoyed this year.

I think McElwain will be the real deal
I don't know that he'll be as good as NS, but to give an example:
in '02 Saban had Matt Mauck at QB..he got hurt against UF and the season was mediocre with marcus randall the rest of the way. The following season Mauck won the MNC...I know you don't have greir, but I really wouldn't worry about it. Bottom line, if he's anything like NS with his approach to QB play, he'll get another qb and be rather successful

I'm not as sure his value won't be higher next year. His valuation this year won't be very good, he needs more time to get bigger and prove he can get it done.
The RB talent next year may indeed be better and frankly if I'm wrong and he grades well he'd be stupid not to go (running backs need every year their knees can give), but I think there is a good chance he's back.

He has UF headed in the right direction, but this year was somewhat of a fluke. I bet UF's record dips next year and goes back up in year 3.

Holy shite. You posted about UF without flaming UF.
Posted on 12/8/15 at 3:07 pm to rockytop627
Taylor is way too light for NFL...doesnt have the height/weight his dad had back in 1997. He needs another year to develop....right now he might be FA pick or very low round pick at best.
Rockytopper I know you hope we go backwards and give your team a chance in 2016...but you are going to be disappointed believing that we will slide next year and actually we might IMPROVE. Not saying we are a lock to beat UT next year, but you will know you played a very good team. And if we do win...then Butchy gets warm seat, losing to Bama and someone else along the way...9-3 is still good and shows improvement and you guys can dance in the streets. But hell everybody knows next year you will have the youngest team in the country...again.

Unlike many people on tRant, I have an off switch for troll mode. I will concede that I was impressed with the overall job Mac did, but I still think that you don't win the East without the Grieroids. The main question for Florida next year is can Mac develop a QB. The defense should take a step back but still be good enough for you to contend with us and UGA at the top. Your recent level of offensive production isn't gonna cut it next year.
