Florida is in a class by itself and probably the best state in the country.

Then Texas.

Then Georgia and Louisiana can make a case.

After that, don't care.

Cullman, class of '84; I sure wouldn't mind moving back to Guntersville some day. It is a beautiful area, and I really like how they've fixed up the downtown area.

Alabama definitely DOES NOT have world class climbing, hiking or kayaking.

International bouldering competitions take place at Horse Pens 40 (one of the most concentrated boulder fields in the world).

Little River Canyon, particularly the Suicide section, are an international destination point in kayaking circles.

Add in over 3,000 caves, it is also a heavy caving destination.

Plus, I never stated Alabama had more than Tennessee. I did state however I would be happy to call either my home.

Florida also has "Stand your ground" which means you can be killed by any "man" carrying a gun for "protection", automatically makes yall last.

Depends on what you consider world class? They have held the Olympics in kayaking there and the GSMs is a park that gets overseas press and tourists.

Yeah, I don't understand his definition of world class. If it's a destination on an international level, it's world class. Southeastern kayaking is different than anything you can get elsewhere. Add in the insane amount of caves between AL-Kentucky, there is a lot to offer.

Might want to do some fact checking. Louisiana was "diverse" before it became cool.

Yeah, I'd say most of the slave states were.
