That's an important stat, but not the only one. For example, A&M and Arkansas have more wins than Florida, but Florida is a better program historically.

I don't understand FL over UGA. I know it is very, very close, but I think UGA edges them out. Can somebody give me some reasons that FL>UGA?

It's probably due to the age of most posters. Success over the last 20 years or so has a way of convincing people that they've been a perennial power since their inception. I agree they've closed the gap but I think it's UT, UGA, UF... though we're both closing the gap on UT every season. They're in reverse and we're on the Autobahn. Won't be long.

Higher win % and more NC's....
UGA has 760 wins, 11 SEC Championships, and 2 NC's in 121 seasons
UF has 680 wins, 8 SEC Championships (won 9), and 3 NC's in 105 seasons (didn't field a team in 1943)
Once again UGA has done less with more.....but that's pretty much their MO.
