That's an important stat, but not the only one. For example, A&M and Arkansas have more wins than Florida, but Florida is a better program historically.

I don't understand FL over UGA. I know it is very, very close, but I think UGA edges them out. Can somebody give me some reasons that FL>UGA?

It's probably due to the age of most posters. Success over the last 20 years or so has a way of convincing people that they've been a perennial power since their inception. I agree they've closed the gap but I think it's UT, UGA, UF... though we're both closing the gap on UT every season. They're in reverse and we're on the Autobahn. Won't be long.

I've noticed that continuously on this board. Many of these guys don't even remember any of the 80s. Pretty young crowd on this board.

Wish I could disagree with the second part of this but no one can. Appreciate the honesty

Higher win % and more NC's....

UGA has 760 wins, 11 SEC Championships, and 2 NC's in 121 seasons

UF has 680 wins, 8 SEC Championships (won 9), and 3 NC's in 105 seasons (didn't field a team in 1943)

Once again UGA has done less with more.....but that's pretty much their MO.
