Well what's the premise of the thread? It seemed to me that a trip to Omaha is what carries the most clout, so if the top 3 are in Omaha it seems to me like the school that actually won the games in head-to-head and has won 2 national titles since lsu last hoisted the trophy would be the top program today.

SC is 3 outs away from not making Omaha.

Hopefully Scott Striklin will have UGA trending up next year....

I believe! He's already my favorite coach at UGA in the big 3

Are you 12 years old or just start following baseball?

Ok I agree that Miss State should be higher up on the list after looking back at their history. However, no NCAA tourney appearance from 08-10 and no conference championship since 1989. I'd put them at 5 or 6

Off the cuff georga and missu have both won championships and played for another, bama has played in the finals a few times even though they won't admit it. Not sure about ags long term but vandy, fla or ole miss belong that high on the list.

Good list but I'd actually put Alabama last or next to it. No talent, no coach and no funds makes for a deplorable program. I love the kids hearts but as Chuck Noll said to his first Steeler team "It's not your psyche, your effort or attitude. You're just not very good". We won some games over Mizzou and A&M we had no business winning this year. In 1994 we won 4 conference games...all year with a burned out coach, players that weren't any good and no fan support at all. There were people that honestly didn't know we had a team. We are heading that direction again.
As far as the list it's

1. LSU

2. Does it really matter?

Even if we were in the CWS I wouldn't put us above LSU.

Unlike Arkansas fans, we don't believe that one series makes a season.

only when it favors them.

LSU swept them last year but they didnt want to hear anything of it once they backed into the CWS.
