Four new coaches in the SEC. Cream of the crop stay the same, although I might have Orgeron ahead of Smart at this point.

Can't argue with Saban at number 1 but Orgeron being behind Kirby is a joke

Lol that has to be your website. No reason any one would randomly stumble upon such a terribly structured mess unless they owned it

Pretty good list, though I would say 2. O, 3. Mullen, 4. Smart and swap Muschamp and Pruitt.

I would imagine Orgeron would be behind Smart ***IF*** 2018 hadn't happened. If he had 2019 on an island surrounded by bad seasons, then Smart stays ahead due to being consistent. 2018, though, with 10 wins and a top 6 finish, lends itself to being ahead of Smart.

Of course if O implodes and has a string of sub-par seasons, and Kirby churns out 10-win ones, then Smart goes ahead. Right now though, Orgeron should be #2.

Undefeated Seasons: Ed 1, Kirby 0
National Championships: Ed 1, Kirby 0
Playoff Record: Ed 2-0, Kirby 1-1
Heisman Trophy Winners: Ed 1, Kirby 0
SEC Championships: Ed 1, Kirby 1
Head-to-Head: Ed 2, Kirby 0

But Kirby is better.

Lol. There is not a single reason to put Kirby over Orgeron. Not one.

In this scenario does Kirby get over the hump and win it all? If nothing else, Orgeron will always have the hardware to fall back on. Then again.. so does Gene Chizik.

I agree I’d put Orgeron ahead of Smart right now. I’d actually put Mullen #3 and Kirby #4. I think Florida will be scary in the years to come and will overtake UGA imo. Or will at least pull even with them.

What’s the judging criteria? If it’s natty’s then Orgeron would be ahead of smart and the same level as Chizik. If it’s career winning percentage or record vs top 10 opponents then Smart would be in front of O, though with a much smaller sample size. There’s really no objective way to determine this. I’m sure LSU fans are happy with O just like UGA fans are happy with Smart.

For sure. However, O is objectively better at this point in his current job. There's nothing wrong with being happy with Kirby even though he isn't as successful as O.

LSU fans were happy with Miles at one time even though he was #2 to Saban and #3 to Saban and Meyer.

Id have O over Smart, Stoops over Leach (this should be based on their work in the SEC), Leach may very well be better than Stoops but let's see how he fares in the SEC first.

Kirby would need to win a Natty, and CEO would need 3 seasons back to back in the 8 win neighborhood for Kirby to jump him.

As far as consistency: CEO is averaging 11.33 wins per season as HC at LSU. Kirby is averaging an even 11.

Not sure how much more consistent you want given that CEO is in the SECW facing a tougher gauntlet than Kirby is in the SECE.

Not to mention that Orgeron coaches in the tougher of the two divisions.

Straight up garbage.

Why are people obsessed with Kirby? He some of the best football talent in the country and still loses to South Car. Doesnt seem like a good coach to me.

O should be second until he proves otherwise. If he shits the bed these next two seasons, drop him down.

Why is Jimbo ahead of more proven coaches like Shoops? Wait, is he ahead of Gus? Holy shite, this is some Aggy fanfiction.
