Those are some characters right there. And I don't mean that negatively. Add Switzer, some beer and a fishing trip - would be a classic weekend.

Eta as of now. If Bert wins 10 games this or next year I'd put him #1

Your best head coach in your last 5 has a losing record in his Arky tenure? Jesus H Christmas... either he's definitely not the best, or that's just flat out embarrassing.

I'll give this a shot - but frankly, AU's HCs are all a mixed bag of pretty good and Gawd-awful.

1. Dye
2. Tubs
3. Malzahn
4. Chiz
5. Bowden

Unlike every other SEC school, all five of AU's most recent HCs finished a season ranked in the AP top 4 while at AU.

And thus far, four of five have ended their AU careers with a losing season

Pretty much, yeah.

Dye brought us back from the dead, even though he got sloppy at the end. Tubs had probably the best team of the bunch in '04, and had a couple of other decent years. Gustav was 13 seconds shy of the greatest turnaround in CFB history. Chiz sucked, but won a natty.

Somebody had to be last.
