Nope Louie's is moving into that Wendy's
Correct.
quote:
Once Louie’s moves this summer from the West State Street building it has occupied since 1986 to the nearby former Wendy’s restaurant on Lake Street, however, diners will find a roomier, less grease-saturated experience — for a while, at least. Owner Jimmy Wetherford told The Daily Reveille earlier this month that the new location will include the iconic open kitchen, counter and stools.

Knoxville isn't the prettiest city (actually the downtown is pretty awesome, the area around campus is shitty) but it's in one of the most beautiful parts of the country, and we know how to have a good time.
Ive been to Nashville (hometown), Knoxville (college town), Athens 6x, Bama 3x, LSU 1x and UVA 2x (non-sec). I've had a hell of a time at every place. They're all cool in a different way. Besides, it's the people you're with, not the place you are, that really makes for a fun time.

It's on pace to have 200+ downvotes, yet it is still a legitimate thread.

Yeah Splash is on the other side of the ghetto.
I'd rather the latter go first.

I would reverse 1 and 2
No way I am putting Tuscaloosa that high- that is a boring town- if it were Birmingham yes
3-6 is ok except Tuscaloosa does not belong there
I would but Knoxville in that group
7-11 fairly interchangeable
Starkville is 12 I have had to work in Tuscaloosa a good bit it barely edges out number 12. Unless you are a Tide fan there is nothing there of interest

I've been to all of them....my top five are:
1. Athens (with the possible exceptions of Chapel Hill and Charlottesville, the best college town in the South.)
2. Oxford (Faulkner, say no more.)
3. Columbia, MO (Producers of Animal House wanted to film the movie here but the university got cold feet and nixed the project. Shakespeare's Pizza and some great college bars make it worth a trip.)
4. Fayetteville (beautiful college town and campus. Good bars and BBQ)
5. Gainesville (this was difficult as there is a huge gap between 4 and 5. Lexington or Gainesville could have just as easily been in this spot.)

Truth is, it doesn't matter how many people love it or hate it... As long as it makes some noise.
That's also how so many dumbass people get famous.
