The UGA AD situation got me thinking about this...
Obviously, this is much more difficult to do than a "best coaches in the SEC" rankings, as we have limited information as a fan and it is not quantifiable, not to mention we all have our own definition of a "good man," but give it your best shot based on what you do know.
Rank the SEC head coaches in terms of their character/values/integrity/morals/etc.
Here's mine:
1. Bobby Johnson
2. Mark Richt
3. Derek Dooley
4. Les Miles
5. Dan Mullen
6. Gene Chizik
7. Urban Meyer
8. Steve Spurrier
9. Nick Saban
10. Houston Nutt
11. Bobby Petrino
NR - Joker Phillips (don't know enough about him yet)

I wish an SEC coach would smoke out with me. That would be cool.

Richt???
WHAT?!
He has a ton of arrests and not to meantion he team is as undisciplined on the field as they are off. They lead the SEC in penalty yards almost every year!
Maybe he talks a good game, but his team's actions say other wise.
*** And Saban is higher than Meyer... Urban is at least 10th or worst.

why do you have chizik so low? he has installed many new positive values into the locker room. no sagging, no crooked hats, has already had around 15 players commit their lives to Christ since being here. very active in FCA. while at iowa st he actually helped a town rebuild after a tornado. chizik is a very high moral person.
eta- maybe you just didnt know enough about him

Dang, didn't know that... I don't hate something that's going on with Auburn... Wha, what's wrong with me?

say what you want about his coaching abilities, but Les is a great guy.

outside of FCA, Saban has done the same things. He changed jobs and people got their feelings hurt. Dont give me anything about him lying because no one else tells their current employer hey I am looking around at other opportunities. Besides that every fanbase on here questions the integrity of every other coach in the conference besides their own so how can we properly judge the values of any of the other coaches especially the characters on this site

Since when is it a coaches job to brainwash his team?

since when is sharing the Gospel brain washing. Atheist the world over are always trying to remove God from everything including having the gov step in and lay down rules for a church that yall want seperation from. So who is brain washing who?

It's a coaches job to mend boys to men. Some have a different view about it. I for one, am very glad Gene has installed his views is leading these kids in the right direction.

There is no way Richt isn't first, or at least tied for first. Are you putting Bobby first just because he coaches at Vanderbilt? I mean, what would push Richt out of the top spot? The dude is known nationwide as being a devout Christian. He goes on mission trips in the offseason with players to South America to build houses. He's said that he would consider going into the mission field after coaching. Seriously, how in the world would Richt not be #1?

Just kidding...that sounds like great work that he's doing.
