At that time none of us knew we were SEC co-champs.

Well yeah, that's because it didn't happen until 2 years after the fact.

So NOW you want to ignore what actually happened on the field.

Haven't got a clue as to what you are talking about? Their official record put them in a tie for first place with Georgia. I would love to say Georgia was sole SEC champions.

ETA
MState faced sanctions for cheating. Now you want to reward teams for cheating? Oh. I forgot. Florida has a vested interest in wanting cheating to be rewarded.

They should have kept on making teams forfeit instead of vacate games.

Yet y'all get pissy when I bring up UGA's vacated basketball wins.

Well then you have situations like this where conference champions are retroactively changed years after the fact.

Agreed. I'm not sure what the vacated game thing is all about. If you play ineligible players you should forfeit. (My opinion)

Good to see you, BigD! I don't post a ton anymore. All of the trolls kind of turns me off. It's always good to see a good poster like you, though.

Ah! I see your point, now. Ftr, I don't care that much about basketball and can't understand why any Georgia fan would get upset about that. It's not like Georgia has been some big power over the years.

Do this again in 8 more years, it'll be the gap between Ole Miss's last title and Tennessee.

Their campus location is in an awkward location vs where talent lives. There is just too many options close to home that pays just as much to live in Knoxville.

That's not what he said at all. Try reading better.

LOL...GOTTEM!

But seriously, the only problem with the Vols is that they just aren't very good.

Incorrect. VOLS aren't elite but have proven to be among the upper tier of CFB teams since Josh arrived. We have been through the "not very good" period and we are far from it.

UK chose probation in 1977. In 1977 UK went 6-0 in the SEC and would have shared the title with Alabama.

My first ever game in Tiger Stadium was October 15, 1977. I was 8. My grandad and I thought LSU would roll.

We got our asses beat. UK 33-13.

Still the experience was great.
