Can't think of another RB who was so good in college and so lousy in the NFL.

I think Penn State had one about 12 years ago, can't recall the guy's name.

Here is a link to a Trent Richardson NFL highlight video.

I was surprised he had one.

I've got a bad feeling (that I hope is wrong) that Henry is gonna dominate this year and then bust in the NFL. I'm just not sure his game will translate well. I hope I'm wrong though, and I'm a huge Henry fan, obviously.

Probably gonna get attacked for saying it too, and like I said I hope I'm wrong, and I'm not even saying it will happen. I'm saying I have a bad feeling that it will.

No way in hell anyone is going to take Henry higher than the 3rd round, IMO. Too tall, and like Trent, not quick enough to the line to be a great NFL rb.

Of course, I could be wrong, and I hope I am. I didn't think he'd be an RB at Bama, so what do I know.

He looks so much better even in that highlight video as a rookie. He just regressed so much in 3 years. So strange.

In before every Bama fan says he had a bad O-line for the 13 teams he played for.

I'm shocked he got lazy. I always thought he was one of those weight room rats that loved pumping iron - almost to a fault.

I don't think he got lazy. He's always lacked burst and vision. He was just running behind the best Oline in the country in 2011. He'd get to the second level untouched and then overpower any DB who got in his way.

People look at his rookie year and think it was good because of fantasy. He only put up good numbers because he had 11 TDs. He still averaged 3.6 YPC that season.

Ki-Jana Carter but he shredded his knee first year.

eta: That may have been mid 90's actually.

Penn State dominates in this department, though to be fair, injuries had a big impact on a couple of these guys:

DJ Dozier taken #14 in 1987
Blair Thomas taken #2 in 1990
Ki-Jana Carter taken #1 in 1995
Curtis Enis taken #5 in 1998

All busts...

For comparison, with 2,032 career rushing yards, Trent Richardson has better stats than all these guys except for Blair Thomas, who gained 2,236 with 4 teams over 7 seasons.

nfl career should be over

he will go down as one of the bigger busts ive seen thought he was really good coming out and wanted the bucs to take him(we took another bust in mark barron smh) one of the few highlights of the last 10 yrs for the browns has to be fleasing the colts and getting a first round pick back for him lol its really crazy how bad he's been in the nfl

Jim Brown called it right after they drafted him and got BLASTED for it too. Maybe the Browns should listen to him a little more.

Only way to explain a bust with that much ability is drugs, alcohol or no heart.

Most of these guys weren't "busts" per se; they were just overrated. Before PSU joined the Big Ten, PSU's running backs routinely padded their stats by running over East Carolina, Rutgers, Temple, etc. week after week. Well, there are no East Carolinas, Rutgers, or Temples in the NFL.

I think the vision stuff is mostly myth, but that is some funny shite right there. Well done.

if I had just made $3.5 million a year for 5 consecutive years I'd be fine with being called a bust. that's more than 90% of the couch potatoes giving him shite will make in their entire life. I guarantee you T-rent or his house sitting mama DGAF.
