It doesn't make the rules in Bama's favor. It balances out the defense relative to the offense. Everyone plays by the same rules

Everyone plays by the same rules NOW. Some coaches don't seem to have any problem stopping the HUNH. It's just the dinosaurs that are crying about it. In Saban's case he knows that if he changes the defense to be able to shut down Auburn, he won't stop LSU. So the days of dominating college football are OVER baby. Name your poison because you're not going unscathed again and with a couple of losses you'll be lucky to even make it into the playoff games in the future. Not sure who the Kiffen equivalent is that you'll be hiring to be your DC but vive' le decline!

The only people I see bitching about it are coaches of schools and their fans that run the HUNH....

LSU is not. We are actually advocating for it.

are talking about a 10 second window to allow the defensive coaches to get their damn personel on the field

The Chief doesn't need extra time.

Does the Dark Lord really need this advantage?

Goddman son that is some serious tap dancing. The final score demonstartes we stopped Sumlin and JFF. Deal with it. As it LSU, as did Auburn. two of these teams are pro-style while the Barn runs the HUNH...so that blows your theory up

Um...one of those three isnot like the others.

You outscored TAMU against a shitty defense.

LSU shut them down.

Twice.

Has Saban been quoted since the proposed rule went public? Dude has to be embarrassed. Wouldn't be surprised if this proposal gets canned before it ever mass it to the oversight committee.
Dumb just dominates your every thread. The suggestion must be voted on if the Rules Comm. endorses it, and it did. You should make some type attempt to know what you're talking about before you post..you'd be embarrassed if you had any sense at all.

I thought that the proposal was asinine, but I'm actually amazed at the public vitriol about it. When all is said and done, the result will be delicious. If it doesn't pass, then BB and LNS don't get their way, and they will be exposed as conniving, whining, and pathetic manipulators.
If it does pass, the backlash will be incredible and the fat man and the midget will still be exposed as conniving, whining, and pathetic manipulators. They will also lose all semblance of respect from their fellow coaches.

I wish they would have gotten quotes from the coaches on which finger they had up their arse while Short-round and Fat-back were out working them.
Nick makes being an Alabama fan really easy!

Outworking others at being whiners? That is true.

Agree. The lil midget is gonna take it up the arse from the coaching community and fans no matter which way it goes.

Add in it won't even change much if it becomes a rule and it is definitely a win win.

"What's next? You can only have three downs? If you play that extra down you have more chance of injury."
Mississippi coach Hugh Freeze said he found about the proposal when he got a phone call from Auburn's Gus Malzahn, a fellow advocate of up-tempo offense.
"I said, 'Y'all are kidding me. That's not true,' " Freeze said he told Malzahn.
Freeze said he was skeptical of the health risks presented by up-tempo offense because he's never seen any data to support the claim.

Damn Ole Miss have a helluva coach. I hope Ole Miss kick some arse next football season. Love their coach.

I don't see it as whining. They have an issue they believe needs to be addressed. Can you and everyone else read between the lines and form their own opinion if safety is really the issue? Yep.
Do i believe it is safety? Nope.
I just don't believe a coach that is continuously praised for being a tireless worker, innovative, and pushing the limits on all rules of the game can be accused of taking the easy and lazy way out on this.

I hope it all works out for Coach. He has never faced the wrath of the college football message board community before. I can't wait to see how he handles it. I'm on pins and needles!

That's funny. Did you listen to the Leach interview? He listed many sports that were more dangerous that football. He said if these coaches who made the proposal have so much time on their hands that they can come up with a stupid rule instead of trying to coach their teams, then maybe they should try to make those other sports safer.
I'd love to see Leach debate Lil Nicky on this issue. He would tear him apart.

Leach would make saban stutter and wave his hands around and look like a total arse clown. Would pay money to see them debate this.

How come all these coaches who are for the HUNH keep comparing it to other sports and not defending it by talking football? Because their arguments are weak.
