It’s new territory. I am sure some folks in Columbus aren’t happy either. NIL investors will expect some guarantees and be more careful in the future.

NIL will end up severely harming CFB and many here will be cheering on that destruction

Perhaps you didn't get a good look at our QB room on display this past season.

So tell me then: What happens when a starting OL, jealous of Ewers' NIL deal, decides he doesn't want to give 100% effort in blocking? What happens when receivers decide they want to quit on their routes because they're not getting the ball?

Then those guys probably won't be getting NIL deals or be drafted

I don't like the NIL I would have preferred profit sharing across the league but

1. I don't care how others spend their money

2.players were already getting paid.. If not directly, indirectly with cushy jobs for family, etc etc

3.this will likely change Cfb for the worse.. We don't need 50btrillion threads on it.

I think the transfer portal takes NIL and multiplies it... Revert the transfer rules and we at least fix some of this.. Otherwise... I don't watch other minor league sports..

there needs to be a cap, and the players need to have atleast 1 season before they get paid

This is a result of a Supreme Court ruling, not an NCAA decision

And talk about blowing up your QB room. Sark is not stupid...no way is he pushing for this.
Sark has no say in the matter. The boosters are running this show

IMO, This kind of stuff will cool down after a few years. Big time donors typically have the money to donate because they have at least some business since. Once they see the shite ROI on the field when half of these kids aren’t the stars they were made out to be, the donors will start to see that donating to the program as a whole is more beneficial than trying to get 1 18 year to your school.

I hadn’t considered this side of this mess. You are right.

If this upsets you then wait until you find out about the 8 year olds on youtube making $26 million per year unboxing and reviewing toys...

not jealous. I just don't see why a player would give a shite about the game if they're already rich before touching the field.. nothing to prove. makes players want to ball out in hs to get that big deal, then stop giving a shite. just my opinion

Then why are you even on here? This is for those who want to support players earning money while playing football! If you dont' like it you can do something else. No one is forcing you to watch football.

Bryce Young was rumored to have earned close to $1mm before he ever started a game for Bama, Good for him. It doesn't appear that $$ had any affect on him balling out all season & earning a seat with the Heisman candidates.

It wasn’t paid he had to start a certain amount of games to get paid. Hence why he’s transferring.

They'll be replaced, possibly lose their scholarship along with the NIL money. I know they're kids, but I doubt many would be this stupid.
