Those teams aren't the ones that sneak up on you with an 11 am kickoff after playing a big team the week before. SEC hangovers are real.

Kinda. I honestly think the miss schools Kentucky usce or vandy just see you as a different colored big 6. But yeah I think there is some degree of pressure on the big 6 to go handle business as usual.

ESPN is butt buddies with Utx. They're always trying to pump them up due to their association with them in the Longhorn Network. Do you not remember every summer since 2012 ESPN excitedly announcing that "Texas is Back!'????
Then Utx would go lay big turds and lose to schools like Kansas.

So, I'm not surprised they're trying to act like thus us some kind of monumental battle that GA will face when playing horns.

Fair enough. But ESPN isn’t the only one

1. Auburn - because frick em, that’s why.
2. Tennessee - see above.
3. Georgia - won 2 of last 3 national championships and are currently a juggernaut.
4. LSU - historically, one of, if not the toughest game on Bama’s schedule, and their fans are obsessed with Bama.
5. Texas - not on Bama’s schedule, but if they were, this would be their ranking in terms of biggest games.

Yeah, it underlines a notable change for Texas in coming to the SEC. Sure they were the biggest game on about every other team's schedule in the Big12 but the SEC is full of elite football programs with a lot more history between them --not to mention all the lower tier SEC programs that want nothing more than to knock them down a notch -- than any aside from Texas A&M and maybe Arkansas have with Texas.

I don't think you're doing a good job here of defending Ewers' words. Maybe you just don't understand what he said.

It doesn't even matter. Saying that those Texas games are the biggest games in the national landscape is not the same as what Quinn said. That's something Alabama's QB might have a right to say after a decade and half of dominance or maybe Beck says last year after Georgia's back to back. But you're coming into conference where there are literally five teams who have won a national championship since your team has.

He didn't say " We know we're on everyone's radar."

He said "We're everyone's biggest game." It'd be arrogant enough if they were coming off of a national championship, but geeze.

I am not trying to defend Quinn Ewers. I never said he was 100% right. I said “I was interested in what he think”. I list some source that might lead to that
ESPN and
“247
Georgia's five most important games of 2024 college football season as Kirby Smart eyes SEC title, CFP berth
#1. AT TEXAS (OCT.” — agree with what he said

SI — 8. Texas vs. Oklahoma support the “biggest game” for OU

5. Texas at Michigan
3. GGeorgia at Texas
are the 2nd biggest game for the two team

Fox/On3 list top10 but not ranking, 50% support the “biggest game”

I think these probably provide more support than what most fans say about their teams

Those teams "sneak up" on each other. They rarely beat the big dogs in the SEC. If you guys want to think Texas isn't a big dog... that is one thing.

But if they are... they aren't going to get "snuck up on" by the teams that the SEC was kind enough to put on their schedule (sans Georgia).

Understand your hate, after we destroyed so many of your dreams back when y'all mattered.

Happy to be here embracing the hate frrom the lesser educated, T-shirt fans of the various extended fanbases. Also loving the fit with those who actually know WTF they're talking about.

Almost anyone would gladly trade a loss with Texas with a win over Georgia, Bama or LSU. Maybe even Florida and Tennessee. Maybe not A&M because we have this weird issue with Texas. But everyone else doesn’t give a frick about the fact that you are Texas.
