How about crime compared to Fayetteville?

I'm sure its much higher. Not really sure what that has to do with anything.

This topic really outs the white-flight honkie posters.

That part of Hillcrest is hardly something I'd point to as an example of a high value property area

My wife was a Realtor prior to a business owner so I know a little about the area too. I also lived there as well at one time...

I'm not trying to pimp up that those adjacent areas as the Gold Standard of the city, but it's highly sought after for many reasons.

Now if you want to talk about the goings-on South of 630 then you are pretty spot on

How divided is the state on this?

Everybody except half of LR and a few south Arkansas fans support this move

but look for those recruits to start drifting away also.
I was born and raised in Little Rock. I'm 21. I hate War Memorial Stadium. Had to play in it in High school, it's a dump. It's a nice change of pace compared to playing other in other high school stadiums, but if the alternative were playing at DW Reynolds, I'd pick Fayetteville in a heartbeat. Even growing up, I hated that we played games in Little Rock. I've never been a fan of the stadium. I can tell you that my generation doesn't give a frick about WMS.

UA doesn't need the money and support from central and south Arkansas any more. They feel like there's enough in NWA now.

I fail to see how UA making a financially prudent move is equivalent to UA becoming a regional university. You seem to be the only one with this perspective, care to explain?

Alabama doesn't play games in Mobile but I saw quite a few red script As on front license plates. How do they manage that?

I'm from central Arkansas, over 35, and think the games should be in Fayetteville.

This is complete nonsense though. 60% of tickets bought for games in Fayetteville are purchased from central Arkansas zip codes.

NWA money > Central Arkansas money

Also nonsense, the per capita income in the central Arkansas counties is higher than the NWA
counties. Household income is higher in the white flight central Arkansas counties than in the NWA counties as well

There is a TON of crime that is either kept on the DL

This is true. Although they tried pouring money into new mid town development, Little Rock hasn't been able to reinvent that area. I wouldn't live in Little Rock but if I was forced to it certainly wouldn't be anywhere east of 430. (No offense to you Hillcrest folks, I'm a little too much of a country boy for that area)

Uhhh...putting 55,000 people in a historically not so safe area as opposed to a safe area? Kinda obvious.

It was more to my point of NWA now being the economic hub of Arkansas. I wasn't trying to make an argument on per-capita income, though I'd love to see data on the descrepancy and how they compare. There's been a ridiculous deluge of money in NWA (albeit relatively new money) in the last thirty years, and NWA is also becoming a veritable haven for startups in addition to the Walmart vendor community.

Whomever you get your information from hasn't been near Fayetteville in the past 20-30 years.

I'd rather play one game in Little Rock every year instead of playing one game in Dallas.

Understandable. Neutral site games in Atlanta, Houston and Dallas chap my arse as an LSU fan as well.

So the fans DON'T drive through, eat, get gas, sleep or otherwise pass at all through any rough areas of LR? They just magically bypass all of that. Gotcha.

And, as we all know, if it's not reported, the crime never happened. That area is completely safe. Let your daughters walk around after dark by themselves. It's safe. Criminals never leave their neighborhoods.
