Yards after catch / after contact killed us more than anything. Too many 3rd down plays where contact was made before the first down marker, but they converted anyway due to missed tackles. We had the speed to make plays but weren’t wrapping up.

Coverage was actually pretty good downfield most of the night. Fulton mis-judged a deep ball that went for a TD and UT picked on his backup when he came out for an injury. But that didn’t have nearly as much of an impact (IMO) as missed tackles.

I expect the tackling will be addressed by the time we get to SEC play.

I love the new desperate handwringing by Aggie and others about LSU's secondary.

"LOLOL DB's gave up 400 yards to big 12 LLOLOL"

I guess this is what happens when LSU gets an offense; hold out hope that our defensive backfield, the crowning jewel of our entire program, somehow sucks in 2019.

If your plan to beat LSU is to throw at our secondary, by all means, proceed...

All I hear are excuses from LSU fans. Defense was terrible. Gotta get better if they want to seriously threaten the streak.

Tackle spot for LSU is a problem too

You are right. If LSU wants to challenge for a playoff spot, that defense is going to have to get better. Second half vs Texas was embarrassing

Two first quarter goal line stands really sucks arse... bet you were too busy trolling the LSU game thread to see it.

It must suck to know that LSU and Texas are still better than your mediocre football program.

Bama fan doesn’t listen well. Shocker.

We will get better. The question is whether our offense can get anywhere near that production against Bama. No matter how good or bad (relatively) Bama’s defense has been, LSU has been spectacularly inept against them.
It’s at least partially a mental thing. We just seem to play tight and scared against Bama.
I don’t think our offensive players will have that mental problem this year. Let’s see what the coaches do.

This is hard to accept. We should have an abundance of talent at DT.

Like I said, what's the point of scheduling A&M when we've got 100 years to prove that we've always been superior? Doesn't really move the needle for our fans to play the richer version of the rice or north texas football program.

LSU, Bama, Florida, Georgia, Ohio St., Michigan, etc... all better litmus tests than beating up on our son once again

Great, when is A&M going to schedule them to play?

Texas has an offense unlike what The Fishers showed at Clemson. Everyone knows jimbos crew only scored 3 points.

So you think a fan that posts on Tigerdroppings is in charge of the Texas schedule?

"Still afraid"

A&M refuses --> Texas immediately schedules then-defending national champion for home & home series. If we can schedule one of the teams that annihilates you year in, year out, how does that translate to fear?

Your narratives need more work, bro. But please keep telling us about how you "have a friend in marketing at Academy" that said Texas fans bought OU sweaters before a non-major bowl game A&M played in during the 2012 season

because no one could tackle worth a shite.

wasn't sure why this was...many times the Texas RB/WR was stopped and then they wouldn't wrap up...so frustrating...

and the Texas o line holding on every play was killing me...but is it speeding if you don't get pulled over...so do it till they stop you i guess
