Brian Kelly finished his 3rd year at LSU with a record of 29-11 and one SEC west title.
But the past two LSU coaches did much better and are now vilified by LSU fans. Absolutely hated. Here is how those villains did in their first three seasons at LSU.
Les Miles: 34-6, two western division titles, one SEC title, 2 ny6 game wins, one BCS national title
Ed Orgeron: 34-7, one western division title, one SEC title, one NY6 bowl win, 2 playoff wins, one CFP national title
Brian Kelly is currently loved. He has done the following

My question is this. Will Brian Kelly be hated even more by LSU fans when he is fired than the previous two guys since he has had much less success than them?

Yes. Everyone hates Kelly outside of LSU fans. At least Miles and O were likable. Kelly killed a kid.

I'm not an LSU fan, but I guess my thought as an outsider is that Les Miles was an idiot with an extremely talented roster who seemed to constantly catch breaks, while also making bone headed coaching decisions.
Orgeron was practically a comic book character on his second go around as a head coach. He and the AD brought in an amazing staff, caught lightning in a bottle with transfer Joe Burrow, to put one of the better teams in modern college football history on the field. And then when he lost his OC the wheels fell off.
I think Brian Kelly is a jerk, but I also think he's a really good coach. He seems like a terrible culture fit. I feel like he took the job for both the money, and also because he didn't think Notre Dame was going to do what it took to build a national championship roster. I think in part because of his stunning exit Notre Dame has changed some things regarding admissions and transfers, and have stepped up big time in NIL.
I'm curious to see what happens at LSU. It feels like LSU has gone all in regarding support for this coming season. I don't think it's going to go over well if he misses the playoffs again, regardless of the reasons.

Arnsparger: 76%
Saban: 75%
Orgeron: 72%

Let me fix all the bullshite for you. We expect our coaches to win championships in every sport but apparently mens basketball.
No real LSU fan gives a frick about whether our HC drowns puppies from breakfast and kills whores on the weekend for fun like craig James, as long as he fricking wins. Or apparently murders college kids taping practices.
He was given everything he wanted, the number 1 transfer class, etc etc. LSU is all in this year and if CBK doesn't get into the playoffs this year most alums and fans will want him gone. And before u get on the poor LSU buyout bullshite, it, like his salary and all the NIL money they have spent it will be paid for by a few dozen alums.
