A lot of LSU money guys want Bianco. Woodward wants O'Sullivan. Let's see who wins this standoff

I think you have to take O'Sullivan first and foremost. - and the timing is right on that one. I expect him to be the next HC at LSU. But for some unfathomable reason Bianco's name keeps coming up

No. But Keith Carter should sit down with him and tell him to get a good pitching coach (if you don't already have one) and have the pitching coach call signals freeing up Bianco to bench coach the team. Calling signals and trying to manage the team is too much. Head Coach needs to be the CEO; not the mail room clerk.

I didn't expect Arkansas to be unbeaten because they are destined to have a bad game.

The bats were good until last night. It is the inconsistency in our bullpen that could send Arkansas packing. Someone besides Kopps needs to step up.

How it plays out:

If Mike loses today: ole miss keeps him but is pissed

If Mike wins but loses in the supers: ole miss keeps him and it’s another normal year for ole miss. LSU shows interest but only makes a move if other options fall through.

If Mike makes it to Omaha: LSU throws money at him and uses the Omaha trip to silence the fans that don’t want him.

No scenario ends with ole miss firing Bianco.

We also don’t have the money to do anything if we wanted to anyway

Only if you have a sure fire upgrade lined up. As poorly as he has done in the post season you are at least in a position most years to do some damage. It’s at the point now though where Ole Miss players and Bianca himself feel so much pressure from not being able to get it done in the past that they play tight and all the pressure is on them in regionals/supers.

Exactly. And the people we want to replace Mike aren’t coming if Mike leaves on bad terms. So it would be a lose lose for us.

I've always had the feeling that the losing in big games is more of an Ole Miss thing instead of a Bianco thing
I know we joke about WAOM but at the end of the day, it's not some "curse" that is over the school. It is coaching and our players not being coached well enough to not meltdown under pressure. That is all on Bianco. I'm thankful for what he has done but 1 Omaha trip in 20 years with the talent and resources he has is absolutely inexcusable. Especially if he loses to USM today.

When all of your rivals are saying "dumb decision! Ole Miss can't do better! Keep him!" then you know you have to make a change.
