LSU pressured Costello more than any other SEC quarterback was pressured, he just Burrow'd them

That generally isn't the best method against Leach anyway though

Your assumption is Leach's gameplan would be the same. It wouldn't. MSU looked like a better coached team. LSU was breaking in new pieces, but so was MSU. They actually had more barriers this off-season and just looked so much better.

Leach's gameplan didnt and wouldnt change alot from what they weant over and put in the week of the game. Nobody knew stingley was out unit 5 or so hours before the game.

I'm sure they saw that and attacked Evan's more but you dont change your whole gameplan because you dont have time

Stingley is amazing and would have helped but Ms St was moving the ball at will underneath.

From what you saw,do you think ,if we had stingley we would have been driving for a tie or a win ,instead of us being down two scores and driving to kick an onside kick after a td or fg?

No. But I firmly believe that if y'all had had Devin White (targeting) you would have beaten Bama in 2018.

Leach never changes the game plan. He only has like 16 plays. What he calls and where the QB goes with the ball is dictated by the kind of defense they see.

I watched a film study on Leach's offense while at Washington State that showed on virtually every play, at least 3 WRs were open, and most of the time 4 were open. So the responsibility is on the QB to make the right choice.

If Stingley was locking down one guy, there would be others elsewhere to go to.

In also curious if opposing fans thought allie Gaye jumped off the screen at them? Was he wearing no 11

He is a man among boys on the field, hope he goes pro asap.

OP, no single player would have made much difference, you have an idiot DC being supervised by a HC with his head up his arse.

The fact that LSU was still playing man coverage till the buzzer sounded is unbelievable.

Not really ,but we get him back most likely this saturday or next saturday at the most. It was just a question

They scored on long 3rd downs and scored on drives where they converted multiple long third and sometimes even fourth downs . Its not that hard to argue he doesnt breaks up at least one of the passes that were 3rd down conversion on a drive that they ended up scoring on.
MSU had like 4 turnovers in that game and screwed up a good bit too, they pulled out the W though. I watched the game and your offense looked unprepared and your coach refused to make adjustments on D.

This week LSU will look like champions again, you can count on it.

No. All of your CBs got burnt. If Stingley was out there they would have just focused on the others more.

I asked a question how is that making excuses? I think Ricks will play well this year ,he had that crazy good int. Him flott mo Hampton will make for a much better secondary when Rick's and flot get more and more game reps. The evans guy got burnt for the game winner on a play that stingley would have guarded. But they probably would have had someone else open lol ..but damn they were bad
