Their catcher definitely wasn’t prepared for real dirt in Omaha..
So many passed balls he’s used to the turf slowing down.
And then his throws to first…big yikes.

The Disch has had turf since the beginning of time. Always hated it but I don’t think they’re going change it.

You're probably right about the concrete base, it was built in 1975 and similar era as the Astrodome, which had a concrete base and per NFL players felt like it when tackled.

It honestly looks awful.
Not to mention the fallopian tubes in center field.
It would look much better with a diff shade of green in the field and different color fake dirt....
