Maybe you also have the same guy?
Saban won 33 games his first 3 years.
Shula the guy he replaced won 20 games his first 3 years
Definitely not the same guy

And Richt won 32...against better competition than Saban. And Kirby also, 32. Maybe they are the same guy? Or maybe Richt got his arse canned for the last 10 years of his coaching not his first 3?

I have to believe at this point you are being obtuse on purpose just to troll. If Richt would’ve maintained the success he had in his first three years, we would’ve never pushed him out and hired Kirby. Now, go be an idiot somewhere else.

What? Saban won a NC in year 3. Beat the Florida monster that Georgia couldn't beat. Better competition? On what planet?

I originally asked this question back in August. . .and I'll ask it again now.
I will preface the question with this: In my opinion, Mark Richt's Achilles heel was that he could not beat Alabama and Nick Saban. As preseason #1, he got destroyed in the 2008 blackout game, lost the close 2012 SEC Championship game, and then the nail in the coffin was the 2015 game in Athens that was just as bad as the 2008 loss, if not worse.
Will the pressure slowly start mounting around Kirby if he loses again to Alabama?
Not true at all. No one is/was beating Bama and Saban. so to fire a coach because they can't beat Bama is dumb. Mark Richt got fired because he stopped caring as much about winning football games. He lost games he should have won and he never won games he should have lost.

There will be plenty of angst if we go 0-3 vs bama, even if it’s irrational.

Try to stay on topic, which is what got richt fired. There is a huge difference between the uga of 14/15 and uga of 17/18. The Richt that got fired wasn’t close to the awesome coach he was early on. It dropped off, big time, That’s what got him fired.

Kirby by far has a worse SEC East. It isn't even close.

You mean the same SEC East that beat the SEC West 8-5 this season???
What matters is how much Kirby has improved the team since Richt left, and how quickly Georgia has moved into college football's top tier.
Not beating what many consider a generationally strong Bama team will not tarnish those achievements a bit.

Jake is a tard level idiot btu I don't necessarily disagree with him. The east from 01-03 was much harder than 16-18, IMO. There may be more of a challenge from the bottom (current era UK and Vandy are better than that era) but UF and UT in that stretch was exponentially harder than the present day. By like a hundred miles.
and btw the east's record against the west in 2018 has less than nothing to do with this particular point.

2002 was a pretty blah SEC East like 2017 was but it wasn't "as" bad. The worst SEC East we've seen in the 00s-10s is pretty easily 2010 though, sorry.
If you go by SRS, while it wasn't fully there, while 2017 was meh for sure, 2018 was actually a big step back towards where the East was in 2012-2013. 2012-2013 still win easily, but the 2018 SEC East actually ended up being the best we've seen it since 2013.
The major difference from those years? Alabama has improved by leaps and bounds comparing to there.

No more so than any other regular season game. Why do those count on your mind but beating top 10 UF this year doesn’t or beating KY this year in the biggest game ever for them doesn’t?
It’s almost like you are cherry pickings games (one of which literally didn’t impact our goals at all)
@ LSU was clearly the biggest game on your schedule.
Lol at trying to hype up those pitiful Kentucky and Florida squads.

The ones that are ranked #9 and #15? Those pitiful teams?
Florida is ranked higher than LSU right now and Texas A&M. They are, in fact, ranked 3rd highest of SEC teams and Kentucky is ranked 5th of the SEC teams. You didn't think through your post very well, did you?
I can only imagine how you feel about Auburn right now!

UF beat LSU and is ranked higher, KY is a divisional opponent and currently ranked 15.
Sorry that you don’t get to define what games are “big” and which aren’t based on what makes Kirby look bad in your mind.

Richt was here like 15 years and played Alabama what, 5-6 times? Saban only 4...
So no, I don’t think that’s what got CMR fired....

Kirby has a lot of time and has built a ton of goodwill already. There's no shame in losing to this or last year's Alabama teams. Both amazingly talented teams, especially this year.
A typical Richt year would've had us at 9-3 or 10-2 at best with these players.

No because Kirby owns our biggest rivals. Auburn has turned into a joke. Tennessee is still dead. Florida is getting better but Mullen’s will never outrecruit Kirby. He already made Turkey Neck retire at GT.
A loss to Bama in the SECCG is nothing to be ashamed of. UGA is the youngest team (70% freshman and sophomores) in the nation and dominated all season, minus 1 game. I think Kirby and UGA will survive

Agreed. I’m saying losing this game would start really putting the heat on him to beat Alabama
Idiotic post, as usual. As much as you would like for this to be true, Kirby’s been at UGA three seasons, and this will be his second SECCG. UGA ain’t Auburn. We don’t put a coach on the hot seat for his record against Saban, nor to we give him a knee-jerk raise one season and threaten to fire him the next. Just because Auburn runs its football program like a mental institution doesn’t mean UGA does. Nice try though.
