The Sc/Clemson troll thread got me thinking. Do you guys like having these games at the end of the year? If they were to move them to the beginning of the year would you love or hate it?

Keep them at the end of the year.

End of the year. It will be glorious when UGA goes undefeated through a weak SEC & we beat them in the last game this season ending their playoff dreams. CANT WAIT

Spurrier always hated it at the end of the year and tried to get it moved. It's tradition now, but I could care less really. I would like to play FSU and Miami every other year rather than FSU every year and Miami occasionally.

He carried that over for the first few years here too. He was surprised at how much SC-Clemson fans cared about the game relative to the conference schedule.

But I'd much rather have it at the end of the year.

Hell, I had an issue with them moving the UGA game from the 2nd week of the year to October that one time.

Before the latest round of expansion I used to know our schedule like the back of my hand, who was home and away for our permanent opponents and which West team was scheduled to rotate on and off. Now the latter part seems to be random as hell.

Fun fact - SC and Clemson used to play on Big Thursday every year instead of on Saturdays:

End of year is always best for the rivalry games.

End of year because of the build up. Especially if the teams have the same records going into the game. Also you can really wreck a teams season if you pull the upset.

We used to play LSU annually at the beginning of the year.
I loved it—particularly as a young whippersnapper/pledge.
It was a one-of-a-kind “big” game for which to be spicy, and to fire up our newest young Ags for a huge opponent (as opposed to a Murray State or Lamar).

I just remember it being a nasty fun way to kick- off the season.

You do realize the SEC is the strongest conference every single year.

You have to wonder why he was so surprised that it was important to SC and Clemson fans. Didn't he have a similar type of rivalry game at UF vs FSU every year?

Strongest conference, y’all have losses to Troy, GA Southern, Colorado State, North Texas, Western Kentucky, Memphis, UCF, Wake Forest, UVA, Cal, UCLA, TCU, etc

Surely if the SEC was the best, they would never lose an OOC game. Y’all have been riding the coattails of Bama & UF forever.

Let us know when an SEC team loses to an FCS team and still goes undefeated in conference play.

Who played Clemson in the ACC Conference championship game?

Please don't tell me that it was a team with a losing record in 2018.

Look at my previous post. VT lost to an FCS team and then not only won the ACC but went undefeated in ACC play.
