Most days it's easy. The most vocal, obnoxious fans are usually the minority of our respective fanbases. However, when one finds themselves around such fans or subjects themselves to it by listening to local radio, then it is harder to avoid killing someone.
Most AU fans are cool by me. It's the Terry Hinleys (sp?) of the world that irritate me.

Probably because most of us are friends, family, etc.
I know in my case I work with an Auburn fan. He wears his Auburn gear on Fridays and the rest of us will wear Bama gear. We rag him a good bit as does others, but he's cool about it and takes it like a champ. He rags us back and things are cool. We talk football and rag each other but in the end, we're all friends and talk about other stuff too.
I have other friends that are Auburn fans and a couple family members (by marriage) that are also. At the end of the day I look at it this way, football is a game that the majority of us love, we're passionate about our teams, but when it's all said and done, if you don't have friends and family to rely on then other things don't matter. A football game last 4 quarters, but life is much more important.
