Hypothetical--If Birmingham gets a nice stadium that could seat at least 80,000, would you like to move it back to there? It is the city it got its name from, aferall. Plenty of history, great games, etc.

They could do it like the SEC championship game, sell half of the tickets to Alabama fans, half to Auburn.

Let both teams wear home uniforms. That would be a glorious sight.

I love having home field advantage at JHS every other year, but I wouldn't be opposed to this

I wouldn't mind a three year rotation home/away/B-ham but I know SEC scheduling can't handle that

Yes. This game needs a neutral site. You younguns don't know how much more fun this was when tickets were 50/50 and not a campus game.

Not crazy about Birmingham though. Would love to see mobile step up and build a stadium that could host this game every year.

As far as Birmingham goes, Bama brass has already said they would listen if birmingham builds an adequate stadium to play a game there every few years.

No because Bham is an Alabama town. Will always be a Bama home game.

And if the Bryant family can get kickbacks.

There are certain old parts of the rivalry that I miss. This is one of them.

People under 20 probably don't even know what a "Bama town" or an "Auburn town" mean. Frickin hipster doofuses!

If it could truly be 50/50 and neutral it could be interesting. I just don’t think that could ever happen.

You will never be able to recapture the knot in your stomach when walking back to your car at Legion field and wondering if it was still there.

Sounds like a small stadium.

No way. Alabama has a 100k seater they’ve spent millions upgrading. They aren’t giving Bham a game, especially not while we already play another neutral site game every year.

Why not....you sure don't mind telling the BOT what they should be doing for UAB and Birmingham

We'll beat em anywhere, anytime. Seriously, if B Ham had a nice stadium, but I personally was never fond of Legion Field. The Aubies will never go for it, so it is a moot point.

You're probably right.

I'm well over 20 and went to a couple in Birmingham. As an Auburn fan, it always felt like an away game with a, while not hostile, unfriendly crowd. Moving it to home and away was best for both fanbases. Bammers didn’t like it at first but Bryant-Denny wouldn't be close to what it is now had they continued to play in Legion Field.
