Question about what it's like being an Alabama fan

For Alabama fans, do you prefer an occasional close win like Texas, or would you prefer every game to be a shitkicking?
Georgia is Alabama Lite now and I'm still learning how I'm supposed to act. Our regular season last year after the Clemson game was a snooze fest and I'd be flipping channels or doing something else by the second half every week. At some point you almost start wishing that a team would keep it close just so you can get your heart rate up a little bit and feel like a fan.

I enjoyed the hell out of the atmosphere on Saturday in Austin. But I’d rather see Alabama play at the level they are capable of.

I just want us to look prepared and play a smart game. Clemson beat the hell out of us in 2018- they were just the better team that night and that's fine, it happens. Looking the way we did against Texas and Auburn last year was way more frustrating
I guess to answer your question, I like close wins but only if we are playing to our potential (LSU 2011, LSU 2012, Georgia 2012 for example)

The comfortable blowouts are always nice, but the rush of escaping a close game with a W (Tennessee in 2015, UF in 2020) can be satisfying.
Having close games every week like Auburn doesn't seem very fun.

Of course beating the shite out of teams is ideal, but close games are definitely more memorable and engaging.

Mail biters suck when they're happening, but they're very satisfying when we come out on top. That said, I still enjoy watching a beat down more. Like a few others have mentioned, the thing I want to see the most is Alabama play well. It's frustrating when we're playing like a soggy shite sandwich like we did against Texas.

I don't care what any Alabama fan says, there's no way it can be much fun to be a fan anymore. I mean it's much better than sucking and perpetual mediocrity but still can't be an overall enjoyable fan experience.

How on earth can you keep up with all of the different poster's names on this board and their tendencies to the point that you can play message board detective???
I've been here for about 2 months and couldn't rattle off more than 3 posters by name. The whole "who alt is this" game always just seemed bizarre smh.

Alabama fans basically spend all off-season waiting for the season to start, and once the season starts they're just waiting for December and January. I see what you're saying.

Would prefer an occasional close win. Much more memorable. Not fun to watch live though.

Winning is great fun. Auburn should try it some time.

Sorry but you're wrong. It's very fun to be a Bama fan. Last year's team was a train wreck and they still were 8 minutes away from winning the national championship. Even when they suck they're still great.
