You would think a doctor would know that, wouldn't you? But it was not in remission. There was no trace of the cancer.

Anyway....I suspect nothing I say is going to change your mind or convince you, and I have to go out for awhile. Hope you have a good rest of the day!

The romans (who supposedly feared him) didn't write a single thing about him.

The terms anno Domini(AD) and before Christ(BC) are used to label or number years in the Julian and Gregorian calendars. The term anno Domini is Medieval Latin and means "in the year of the Lord",[7] but is often translated as "in the year of our Lord".[8][9]:782

The Julian calendar, proposed by Julius Caesar in 46 BC (708 AUC), was a reform of the Roman calendar.

The julian/gregorian calendars have to do with the number of days in a month and number of months in a year.

The anno domini dating system wasn't invented untill 500+ years later and wasn't widespread until 300 years after that.

This.

There is nothing written by the Romans at the time of Jesus about him. Nothing Ceaser wrote mentions him. The romans kept really good records of their conquests and enemies. None of these mention Jesus.

I'm confused. Are you actually arguing that nobody should talk about God so that others can remain ignorant of His existence so that they can die and go to heaven to live with God?

It makes zero sense, but is the best way to ensure everyone gets to heaven, according to Christian logic.

If you think he's the only one who believes that, then you're misinformed.

If you think that is "christian logic", then you are misinformed

Absolutely. There is a huge difference between those who use their exposure through sports or other public venues to share their love of God and appreciation for salvation through Jesus Christ and those who use their "religion" to gain from it financially or otherwise or to excuse wrongdoing.

That's not what the commandment says. It says thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor. That's not the same as thou shalt not lie.

Jim Tressel, formerly of Ohio State, has the bible thumper reputation & even had a stack of bibles on his desk that he would pass out to visitors to his office. He also had numerous biblical quotes on plaques around his office. Yet his other reputation was one of a repeat offender/cheater, as he got in trouble at his previous HC job.

There are two options here. Either prayer doesn't cure jack shite (it doesn't), or god is limited in his abilities.

Faith is believing without seeing. If God regrew an arm, it wouldnt mean as much. Besides, losing an arm isnt going to kill you and I would assume most people dont pray for that to regrow. acceptance and coping with your lost limb, yes. Prayer isnt a buffet for us to plunder. It is grace from the creator that is held in respect and reverence. Most people who are not children do not mass pray or anoint some one with oil over little things.

Why inform people though? If the can remain ignorant and be saved, isn't informing them just giving them opportunity to be damned?

Sorry. I had to go out for a bit.

we were created to fellowship and worship God. it would be hard to fullfill our purpose if we were not aware of the existence of God. Christians were instructed to go out into the world preaching and teaching and making people aware of God's love so we could all fullfill our purpose.

And every (Non christian)coach out there that cheats holds themselves up as being fair and ethical. Does that mean no coaches are fair or ethical? I mean, you guys are painting with a mighty wide brush.

A: that's your opinion
B: the last time men were united, god got pissed off and made them all speak different languages.

Just face it, if the Christian god is real, then he's a fricking idiot.

That's not disrespectful to say that prayer doesn't heal. Do you believe Voodoo is real? If not, that's disrespectful...

Not my opinion. It is in the Bible.
Matthew 28:19

B: the last time men were united, god got pissed off and made them all speak different languages.

Not sure what that has to do with my point above. The Tower of Babel really gets under your skin, doesn't it? They were trying to make themselves as gods. God said "You will have no other gods before me."
