Everyone in this chat room changes their narrative like the freaking wind LOL. Last week after Tulane could have and almost beat Kansas State, everyone was talking about how "sneaky good" they were, and how much better they were on paper. This week after Oklahoma beat them... "Tulane is trash!"
Listen man. What I'm going to say is going to be hard to hear, but as an A&M fan through the 2010s, I'm an expert in football teams that start out the season highly ranked, struggle against their cream puffs, and then crater after playing teams with a pulse.
Your team... It looks like something that I'd root for. It looks like any one of the replaceable squads that Dennis Franchione or Mike Sherman or Jimbo Fisher would coach. I can't even include the annually disappointing Kevin Sumlin because for all his flaws, he knew how to obliterate shite teams like Houston and Tulane.
I'm afraid your team sucks.

In addition, Oklahoma was only able to score 11 points after getting off to a fast 21-0 lead. Then suddenly Tulane got close to 24-19. Then Oklahoma panicked and the offense had to go to work to score a TD.
That's not how you play against cupcake teams.

You sound like youre trying to convince yourself.
UT's defense hasn't allowed a TD at all, rushing or passing.

That is a great fact. Here's another one for you. There are currently 5 FBS teams that have not allowed a rushing or passing TD...and 3 of them are in the SEC:
Tennessee
Ole Miss
Georgia
UL Monrow
Ohio State

Our defense is our strength
Been awhile since OU could say this. I'm glad to see OU defense be a strength for a change. Those Oklahoma defenses of the Switzer/Stoops days use to swarm the ball, hit hard, and made for tough games.

Tulane isn't a cupcake. Maybe you should watch some football outside of your tiny sphere of influence.

Wow no rushing tuddies allowed against *checks notes* Temple, Houston, and Tulane
Vols have yet to allow an offensive TD this year period against similar opponents. I fully expect that to change this week.

There's a lot of shite talk in these forums, but the majority of Oklahoma fans are going into this game with realistic expectations. We will make it a hostile environment Saturday night, and our defense will get pressure on Nico but we fully know our limitations on the offensive side of the ball.
We need turnovers and special teams to play a key role in our favor to have a chance.

I guess you're unaware of Tennessee's ability to crown themselves as the best team only to end up dropping back to reality.

2. I think everyone is shooting their wad too soon on an untested UT beating OU.
Hmmm…does this sound like any other team we know in this conference?

Y’all get 8 starters back and haven’t allowed a rushing TD all year. Okie should roll in a blow out. All offseason the pundits had this as a Vol loss.
