I do not think the young man even thought about it being disrespectful. I would imagine he thought it funny, and cool. I will be truthful, I do not see anything wrong with it. Even if he would do that to Alabama, I would feel the same way.

Too many people wear their feelings on their sleeves, lighten up.........

Oh please! If he had thrown a UGA hat and committed to your school, you would be applauding him.

I would be thrilled to get a player of that talent but also be disappointed in the way he acted

Acting like what? Y'all are acting like he took that hat, burned it and pissed in the ashes. All he did was throw it.

Acting classless. That doesn't make him look hard or tough just disrespectful.

I just think this is an example of where people take this stuff way too seriously. Such a weird thing to get all bent out of shape over.

Rumor going around on a lot of UGA boards that Pruitt cussed out Quay over the weekend when he told him he was going to Athens. That's a decent reason.

He’d fit in well with Mahlzan then

Seems like a very disrespectful young man. Having class doesn't matter to the bulldogs tho

Because Auburn is such a classy place, amiright?

Doesn't surprise me that you would make a comment without knowing the kid or what was going on, though, because, you know, Auburn is so classy.

From what I understand, word was getting out that he was going to Georgia and Tennessee fans were tweeting and texting hm giving a pretty hard time about it. You know, classy things like threats etc, similar to what happened when Cade Mays picked Georgia.

But maybe you should sit down and take a rest. You must be exhausted from jumping to all those conclusions about a kid you never met.

Whomever that kid is ... that was a bullshite move. Wasn't funny in the least. Was disrespectful to the process and to the game.

He's likely got a big karma kickback coming.

What? He’d have to be really dumb to not realize it was disrespectful.

That said, I don’t care at all because it’s what we get when recruits are put on a pedestal like they are now.

Exactly. It's a hat. It's not like he bad-mouthed Pruitt or the University on ESPN or something. Sure be mad for a few minutes and then get over it.

Of course, UGA always has an excuse for one of their players acting classless. Do you honestly believe Pruitt cussed a kid out for going to UGA?

This from the fan base that inundates us with GIFS of Nick Fairley taking cheap shots at Aaron Murray's back and knees.

Classy!

I doubt it, he's a kid who made a mistake. Kirbo probably got on his tail for acting like that and hopefully he'll learn

Your fellow fan would love it, thus making them hypocrites too.

My heart kind of sank when I saw him throw the hat. I was obviously excited to get a very talented player, but it was very disappointing. As someone who went through the recruiting process, granted it was a good while back and on a lower level, the hardest part of it all was calling all he coaches after I had made my decision and telling them that I wouldn't be playing for them. It sucked. These are guys who spent time away from their families to build a relationship with you and you have to tell them that it was all wasted. I had very good relationships with some of them, and I couldn't imagine doing that on signing day.

At the end of the day, though, it is a 17-18 year old kid who did something immature and dumb. I'm sure he and others thought it was cool, and I know I did stupid shite when I was his age, too. Most of us are glad that we aren't judged by shite that we did when we were his age, but our shite also wasn't on national TV. Hopefully matures a little bit and grows up a little during his time in Athens.
