I am amazed at the logic of some posters here. What has Sanders shown on Saturday's that would justify a SEC program giving him control? What is his coaching experience.

I am so glad to hear your opinion on this subject is what it is. So very, very glad.

On paper, Freeze would be a better HC than Malzahn. Maybe there's a diamond in the rough like Stoops. Other big-name coaches (such as Kiffin) will have better opportunities in the future.

Sanders has proven he can coach at the FCS level. He can also steal recruits from Saban at a school with bad facilities, crime, and no fresh water.

Zook had never been a head coach in his life. Comparing him to Sanders is apples to oranges.

There's way more logic in hiring Sanders than there was for Bryan Harsin. You fired Malzahn who had a better record at Arkansas State than Harsin. What kind of logic is that? Auburn also hired Chizik who had already proven he was trash as a HC. Your boosters wanted to hire Steele who was trash as a HC. Auburn doesn't use logic when it comes to hiring a head coach so STFU with that nonsense.

But his connections to the ATL area alone would immediately get butts back in the seats. Cap and Tshirt butts that Ga Tech hasn’t had since the early 90s.

It’s only trash to you because you don’t like what he has to say. But most of the time what he says is true.

Agreed, but try telling that to the people who actually want a guy leading their program, that has never coached at any school, at any position, in the FBS.

Deion Sanders has been trash in my eyes since I watched him throw his kid’s mom around the parking lot at an AAU tournament back in the day.

Nobody will ever convince me otherwise.

I've been telling Auburn fans for the past 2 weeks that after the way they've treated Harsin and the thought of firing him less than 2 years into his stint would cause any good coach with options to spurn them.

As such, this is no surprise to me.

Did he rub those warts all over Saban's face those back to back years?

I don't see Tech going that route though. Prime Time doesn't give off the image Tech wants.

Hiring a high profile black coach in Atlanta may well fit the image they want

and I agree that he’d do well there, he would very attract some better recruits and that would be a huge 1st step

8 million dollars a year has a way of making a coach forget about what happened with the other fella (plus a 40 million buyout).

Gus took close to 70 million from The Barn in his days as a OC and HC.
